Amidst all such rows, Poonam Pandey made yet another shocking claim.
Taking to her IG handle on February 19, 2024, Poonam Pandey dropped a post, where she claimed receiving legal notices from the stakeholders of the campaign, who had signed her up for faking her own death to raise awareness about cervical cancer in women. Poonam revealed that the stakeholders undertook such a step after she announced to reveal the truth soon. She penned:
“So now that I said truth shall be revealed. The stakeholders have got the shivers. And sent us a legal notice.”

It all started back on February 17, 2024, when Poonam Pandey seemingly deleted all her videos related to the fake death stunt she pulled off, in order to raise awareness for cervical cancer. Moreover, what grabbed everyone’s attention was that she even penned a cryptic post on her IG handle, wherein she announced that she would reveal some kind of truth soon. She had penned:
“The truth shall be revealed soon.”
Earlier, a report by Pinkvilla claimed that Poonam Pandey, along with her ex-husband, Sam Bombay got booked under a defamation law suit worth Rs. 100 crore for faking her own death as a measure to spread awareness about cervical cancer. The case was filed by a person named Faizan Ansari to the Kanpur Police Commissioner, wherein he claimed to be triggered by the mockery made out of such a dangerous health condition of cancer.

Back on February 2, 2024, internet was left in shocked by the shocking news of Poonam Pandey’s demise at the age of 32, after reportedly suffering from cervical cancer. Interestingly, the news was spelt under disbelieve by many of her friends and colleagues from the showbiz industry, who couldn’t believe it was true. However, a day later, Poonam Pandey left everyone shocked when she dropped a video of herself, announcing that she was alive, hail and hearty, and that the news of her death was a part of an awareness campaign about cervical cancer, which she was associated with. She expressed:

Cervical Cancer didn’t claim me, but tragically, it has claimed the lives of thousands of women who stemmed from a lack of knowledge on how to tackle this disease.
