However, it was on February 2, 2024, when the diva's entire fanbase went into utter shock as the reports about her demise at the age of 32 years surfaced online. For those who chipped in late, a picture note featuring deets about Poonam's death was shared on the diva's IG handle, wherein it was mentioned that she passed away due to cervical cancer. And according to another report, there had been some other reason for the diva's untimely demise.
As per a recent report by Times Now, Poonam Pandey didn't die of cervical cancer. An insider told the portal that the reason for Poonam's demise was a drug overdose. Well, it is worth mentioning that no such news has been officially confirmed yet.

As per several media reports, Poonam Pandey's manager, Parul Chawla confirmed that the late actress had been suffering from cervical cancer. In an interview with India Today, Parul stated that Poonam breathed her last in her hometown, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, wherein her last rites would possibly be held. Parul could be quoted as saying:
"She got detected with cancer sometime back, and it was in the latter stages. She was in her hometown in Uttar Pradesh, and the funeral will mostly happen there."
On the other hand, in a recent conversation with Times Now, Poonam Pandey's bodyguard expressed his shock about the whole incident. He stated that the diva did a shoot just two days ago, on January 31, 2024. While being asked if the diva had ever discussed anything with him about the health issues, he shared that he had no idea. However, he also reported that Poonam's UP home's doors are locked, and her family members are not answering the calls.
