Pakistani actress, Mahira Khan is known worldwide for her power-packed, versatile performances on the screen and her ethereal beauty. The actress, who has been in showbiz for more than a decade, debuted in Bollywood with the 2017 film, Raees alongside Shah Rukh Khan. She received much love and appreciation from the Indian audience for her role in the film.
Recently, Mahira was spotted at Arijit Singh’s concert in Dubai. Notably, the latter sang Raees film’s popular song, Zaalima, featuring the Pakistani actress and SRK. A video from the recent event is going viral on the internet, where the singer was seen introducing the Pakistani actress to the crowd. The video, shared by an IG user named Shahzadi Sipra, captured the moment when Arijit confessed that he first failed to recognise Mahira. At the beginning of the video, Arijit can be heard saying:
“You guys must be surprised, should I reveal. I should reveal in a very nice way. Can we have camera there. I have been trying to recognise this person, then remembered I have sung for her. Ladies and gentlemen Mahira Khan sitting right infront of me. Think about I was singing her song Zaalima and it’s her song and she was singing and standing and I couldn’t recognise her. I am so sorry. Ma’am, gratitude and thank you so much.”

While Arijit was introducing her, the Pakistani actress was seen flashing her brightest smile. She looked gorgeous in a black outfit and even waved at everyone when the camera was focused on her. Moreover, Mahira took to her Instagram stories and shared a sneak peek of Arijit Singh’s concert. She wrote, “And then this…,” atop the video.

In her personal life, Mahira Khan got married for the second time in October 2023. She tied the knot with a Pakistan-based businessman, Salim Karim. Previously, the actress was married to Ali Askari, and the estranged couple has been co-parenting their only son, Azlan, after they parted ways in 2015. Sometime back, Mahira sat for an interesting interaction with Aamna Haider Isani on her YouTube channel, and she cleared the air about her husband, Salim’s profession. While rubbishing off the rumours that her husband is a 66-year-old business tycoon, Mahira said:
“He is not a tycoon, 66-year-old tycoon! Bechara, my Bechara. Not even close to being a tycoon or 66, but Insha Allah one day, who knows?”
Just months after her marriage, rumours surfaced in the media claiming that Mahira would soon welcome her first child with her husband, Salim. However, when Mahira Khan graced the hot seat of her digital platform, Mashion, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, she cleared the air around such rumours. Mahira said:
“Oh, that I am pregnant. It’s not weird, it’s just a rumour. I don't know where they came up with it, I think it's because I've put on weight, but then they also said that I've left the Netflix series and a major film and whatnot. So, yeah but it's not true.”
