Poonam Pandey left everyone shocked and in disgust with her unclassy 'death stunt' in order to raise awareness for cervical cancer. While it was a PR strategy, the issue around cervical cancer could have been raised in another way as the media, including the entire industry, was left numb to the news. Death is no joke! While many celebrities expressed their anger at Poonam's death stunt, it was her estranged husband, Sam Bombay, who shared his relief after knowing that she was alive.
Recently, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Sam expressed that he felt delighted after he got to know that Poonam is still alive, he stated that it was enough for him. For the unversed, on February 2, 2024, Poonam created a note that stated she had passed away after fighting with cervical cancer. Her manger double confirmed her death report to various publications.

Poonam's husband, Sam further shared that he felt nothing when the news of her demise came out as he knew that everything must have been fine with her. Expressing himself, he aid:
"When I heard the news, I felt nothing in my heart. There was no sense of loss. And I thought this can't be. Why do I feel nothing? Because when you're connected, you feel everything. I think about her (Poonam Pandey) every day. And, I pray for her every day. If something was wrong, I'd know."
On February 3, 2024, a video of Poonam was circulated on the internet, wherein she claimed that she was alive and had faked her death in order to raise awareness about cervical cancer. She also stated that women often don't pay attention to the deadly disease and tend to ignore it. Poonam further urged women to get themselves checked.

In an interview with Times Now, Poonam Pandey's bodyguard hinted something was fishy and mentioned that the actress never talked about her illness. He further confirmed that she did a shoot on January 31, 2024, with Rohit Verma. The bodyguard further revealed that Poonam's UP house has a locked door and none of her family members are answering their call.
