Dianna Russini and Mike Vravel continue to hog the limelight amid their ongoing scandal. Amid that, another name has popped up in the discussion with netizens questioning her 'curious behaviour'.
Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel's scandalous affair won't lie to rest. With new details emerging almost every other day, their names have become common over the last two months. And now, another name has become part of this controversy: someone being called Russini's "pedicure pal".
Dianna Russini's "pedicure pal", Sarah Walsh, has been called out several times amid the NFL's offseason scandal. According to reports, Russini and Walsh became known as pedicure friends in 2016 after Walsh shared a screenshot of a text that invited Barstool's Ryen Russillo to a pedicure. However, the text was actually meant for Russini, but she accidentally sent it to Russilo, since their names were close on her phone. The two appeared to have a close relationship while working together at ESPN.
However, in the past two months, Sarah Walsh has not once made any statements on behalf of her friend. For the unversed, Walsh now works for NFL Network, while Russini moved to The Athletic. The latter resigned from her post after the Mike Vrabel story broke in April 2026. But now, Walsh's silence has become the very reason she is in the headlines. According to reports, Tony Farmer, who has been on top of all things Russini-Vrabel from the beginning, has pointed out that Walsh has not tweeted the words "Russini" or "Vrabel" since those "damning photos leaked". In a tweet on X, he wrote:
"According to AI platforms Grok and ChatGPT, Walsh has also not been talking about Vrabel or Russini on the NFL Network since April 7."
Tony Farmer also pointed out that, despite being close to Dianna Russini, The Athletic's Mike Silver has also maintained his silence on the matter. He pointed out how what happened between Mike Vrabel and Russini was the biggest story of the NFL offseason, yet when it comes to the latter's friends, they have not once uttered a word. Farmer questioned their duties as journalists and were quoted as saying:
"The Vrabel – Russini story is arguably the biggest story of the NFL offseason, so when there's a list of journalists and broadcasters who are friends with Russini and noticeably silent, it raises questions about journalistic ethics."
Ever since Tony Farmer made the statement, social media has been abuzz with questions regarding the matter. A fan claimed "ESPN executive order." While another penned, "I for one appreciate you @Tonysmarkettips for staying on this. The double standard is clear, and it needs the light you're shining on it. Well done, Sir!" A user commented, "You know if this was a player involved in an affair scandal (without someone in the media) it would be reported by every media outlet in the world!", Tony replied to the comment and said, "Yes I agree … do you also agree with former nvl player Jarvis landry who said if the coach was black he wouldn’t be protected like Vrabel?"
For the unversed, Crissy Froyd was fired by USA Today Sports for criticising Dianna Russini, not too long ago. However, now her removal has caused significant buzz, putting many more reporters on the spot for tiptoeing around the real questions when they spoke to Mike Vrabel at Patriots OTAs last week. She claims to know of several other journalists who have slept with members of the NFL team staff in exchange for scoops.
