The final countdown has begun and the internet is flooding with the pictures of her mehendi function that was celebrated yesterday (May 6, 2018). Need we say who we are talking about? No? Okay then, put your hands up, all you Sonam Kapoor fans! For she has finally revealed the names of her designers whose dresses she will be wearing in all of her wedding functions.
We all know that Sonam is often regarded as one of the most stylish actresses of the tinsel town. Since her induction to Bollywood, her quirky yet classic style quotient is widely appreciated by fans and critics. While Sonam herself is a designer along with her sister Rhea, for her own brand, Rheson; there are three designers Sonam is extremely close friends to and swears by their outfits. So much so, that the Saawariya girl has chosen to wear their outfits on her ‘Big-day’!
Any guesses as to who they are? (Hint: The initials of their names starts with ‘A’ and they are well-knowns in the industry. Also, Sonam Kapoor recently attended a wedding of one of the designers’ niece.) We are sure that by now you might have guessed it right! Also, wouldn’t it be great if you hear it from the bride herself? In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar Bride, Sonam shared, “I'm wearing the three 'A's for my wedding - Abu-Jani Sandeep Khosla, Anamika Khanna and Anuradha Vakil." Wow! We can totally imagine how mesmerising Sonam is going to look at her wedding.
The Kapoors might be adding a final touch-base to her much-awaited sangeet preparations where her father, Anil Kapoor will be performing a special act for the bride. Arjun Kapoor, who is extremely close to Sonam and Rhea will be performing at her sangeet apart from her close friends from the industry like Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Dhawan will also be performing at the function.
Meanwhile, Sonam and soon-to-be husband, Anand Ahuja’s progressive thought behind doing away with paper invitation cards was appreciated by all. A source was quoted saying, “Both Sonam and Anand believe in paper conservation. They believe that wedding cards mean a lot of waste of paper. Hence they have asked their families to not print any invitation cards. Instead, they have designed an elegant E-invite together which will be sent to their friends and relatives on their phones.”
Sonam’s wedding party also has a dress code. All the guests have to be either in Indian wear or Western formals. How cool is that! Also, her wedding invitation prominently mentions, “Your presence on our special day is the only gift we desire.” Isn’t that extremely sweet?
