Lock Upp is a reality show that has garnered a lot of attention in the last few days with its controversy, and the contestants spilling their deepest, darkest secrets. It is hosted by Kangana Ranaut, and many celebrities from different genres participated in the reality show. Television actress, Sara Khan and her ex-husband, Ali Mercchant have also taken part in the show.
For the unversed, Sara Khan and Ali Mercchant had tied the knot during their stay at the Bigg Boss 4 house. The couple had been dating for a long time before they could enter the Bigg Boss house. However, they had parted ways after two months of their marital bliss.

In the recent promo video of the show, Lock Upp, we can get a glimpse of Sara and Ali having a conversation where the latter said that it has been 12 years since their separation and that he has a lot of respect for Sara as she was his ex. To this, the actress replied:
“If you don't talk about outside, it will be better. So let's just start from here, where we are and let's just stop from where we ended. And let's not get into what happened with me or what happened with you.”
Further, going into the conversation, Ali said that he is not the kind of person who would pull someone down, and Sara also agreed to it by saying that she doesn't want to do that either. She even shared that she knew Ali was going to be one of the contestants in the show. Later, Ali can be heard concluding the conversation:
“Aisa matt socho ki main tuhari wajah se yahan aaya hun. Mujhe farak nahi padta."

In an interview with ETimes, when the actor was asked about his first love, Ali was quick to reply to that question. He had mentioned Sara Khan's name and had said:
"She was my first love. I was her first love. I am not someone who will pull down anybody."
For those who don't know, it was reported that Sara and Ali were paid a huge amount of Rs 50 lakhs to get married in the Bigg Boss house. However, the channel denied it.
