Neelima Azeem is the mother of two wonderful boys, Shahid Kapoor from her first marriage with Pankaj Kapur and Ishaan Khatter from her second marriage to Rajesh Khatter. Even though, she has two failed marriages in her life, people love her for her great acting prowess. Apart from being an excellent actress, she is a doting mother and keeps a check on both of her kids, who are both accomplished actors now.
For quite some time, Ishaan Khatter has been hitting the headlines for her alleged relationship with Ananya Panday. Their pictures from Shahid Kapoor's birthday bash had ignited the spark even more. Now, Ishaan's mother, Neelima has addressed it and talked about the same.

In a recent interview with India Today, Neelima Azeem opened up about her son, Ishaan's bond with Ananya Panday and talked about what she thinks of her as she has become a part of their family circle. The veteran actress said:
"I can say that Ananya has also learnt dancing from me. She is a part of our inner circle and family circle. She is a good friend of Shahid and Mira. And obviously, she is an important part of Ishaan's life. I would say that they are great buddies and good companions. With his friends also, she fits in very well."
Further going in the conversation, she mentioned how much she liked Ananya's performance in the film Gehraiyaan. Neelima added that Ananya has proved her talent the time she came. However, with Gehraiyaan she came through shining. She shared that she feels happy that Ananya got so much appreciation for the film, her talent and her realistic and intelligent performance.

In an old interview with the Hindustan Times, Neelima Azeem had opened up about her bonds with her two sons, Shahid and Ishaan. She had added that she seeks Shahid for long conversations about life because he is kind. While with Ishaan, she feels that they move in a rhythm together. She had said:
"I seek out Shahid for these wonderful conversations on life we have and our sense of humour also tallies a lot, and he's cute and kind and sensitive so I feel wonderful and safe around him. With Mira, I have all the understanding of what two women who are on the same page can have and who share the same life with the same people. And we're both cool. With Ishaan, I have this wonderful sense of companionship where we are similar in certain ways and we move in rhythm very well together, and I feel very comfortable with Ishaan."
