And guess what does Bollywood biggie, Karan Johar has in store as Sonam Kapoor’s wedding gift? After all, KJo is famous for choosing the right gifts and hampers!
A source revealed to Pinkvilla, “For Sonam Kapoor’s special day, Karan Johar will be gifting her Amrapali Jhumkas, a pair of silver kadas and uncut diamond chandelier earrings. Both the jhumkas and the kadas are silver coordinated sets. Apart from this jewellery, Karan has also brought a Kanjeevaram saree for the bride to be! That’s not all. KJo has custom ordered a thali full of motichur laddoos that would be flown in from Nathus in Delhi”. Earlier, we brought to you the news of Sonam Kapoor’s wedding gift for her hubby-to-be, Anand Ahuja. Years ago, in Simi Garewal's show, she had revealed the same and was quoted as saying, “I have written quite a few poems but there was this one poem that I wrote when I was around 16 years old. It is called Ambition. I had promised myself that as soon as I find the person that I'm going to be with, I'm going to give him that poem. The day I get married, the poem will be with that man and I'll say that this is what I want my life to be like and hopefully, we can work together towards this”.
Speaking of the wedding gifts, Sonam Kapoor is surely going to get the best gift from his brother, Harshvardhan Kapoor. During the trailer launch of Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, Harshvardhan wittily revealed his wedding gift for sister, Sonam. He said, “A hug… That’s a joke. A lot of love. I am broke. Have you seen the kind of movies I am doing? They don’t pay very well (laughs). So, I don’t have anything to give her, but a lot of love”.
For the uninitiated ones, Sonam and Anand’s wedding bash will kick-start on May 07 with mehendi at Sunteck, Signature Island. The grand wedding of Sonam and Anand is on May 08, 2018 at Rockdale, Bandstand, Bandra.
A source earlier disclosed that rehearsals have kick-started inside Anil Kapoor’s bungalow. It was reported, “Rehearsals have kicked off at Anil Kapoor’s Juhu bungalow. The doting dad and mom Sunita will be putting together a special act for the bride-to-be at the sangeet. Sonam’s cousins and extended family have joined in as well for the pre-wedding ceremony. They will perform on her hit songs like the Veere… title track, “Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai” from the Fawad Khan co-starrer Khoobsurat, the Prem Ratan Dhan Payo title track, and “Dheere Dheere” from her music video with Hrithik Roshan, among others, besides other popular wedding songs”.
