However, it has not just been her life that has seen a dramatic change over the years. The legendary country star-actress has evolved over the years into a completely different person. Amid news of her death, Parton's before-and-after pics from her plastic surgery have surfaced on social media.
Dolly Parton looked very different before-and-after her plastic surgery
Dolly Parton has been known for her glamorous personality. She has been very open about undergoing plastic surgery. The difference is striking when you look at the snaps of Dolly from when she was 19 years old. The photos are from the 1960s when Dolly had not undergone any cosmetic procedure.
Dolly was known for rocking the big-hair look, and her before-and-after social media pictures had surfaced. An aesthetic physician named Molly Bailey had showcased Dolly's look before and after the procedure. She stated:
"Pouring one out (a unit of tox) for the OG transparent queen. In an age where plastic surgery and cosmetic work were a taboo topic, Dolly was the most open book. Her aesthetic was more extreme than mine, but her commitment to slow ageing was legendary. I want them to say, ‘Dang, don’t she look good for her age. Girlfriend, mission accomplished."
As seen in the other snap, Dolly was known to have dimples back in 1977 and had a very prominent nose in the later stage of her life. Dolly was vocal about not having any plastic surgery on her face until she turned 40.
Dolly Parton has confirmed doing many cosmetic procedures
Dolly Parton has been very honest about her multiple cosmetic procedures. It was in 2003 when she came on Larry King Live that she confirmed undergoing a facelift, surgery around her eyes, liposuction, and excess skin removal. Dolly also revealed of undergoing lip fillers along with Botox injections. When Dolly was asked how she got the confidence to be vocal about the same, she shared:
"I don't want to lie about it. It's like I think sometimes it might help ... But if somebody wants to know something, I always say if I see something sagging, dragging or bagging, I'm going to go have it stuck, tucked or plucked."
Dolly Parton was always candid about the varied procedures she had undergone. Dolly used to say that she was always a fan of fillers and Botox. For her, it was just about finding the best doctors. The music icon had shared that she was very selective about the plastic surgery she got on her face rather than her full body. In her words:
"You've just got to be very careful not to overdo it because you never know; anytime you go under the knife, you could come out looking not good. I try to be careful."
The Country superstar shared that she was always known for her boobs before people started having implants, and she never had any silicone injections. Later, Dolly confirmed undergoing a breast lift and shared that she underwent a breast augmentation before she turned 40.
Dolly had earlier stated that she tried new things in her life, but when it came to makeup, nothing was better than the good old Vaseline and those Almay eye makeup remover pads. Earlier, in a 2015 interview with First to Women, Dolly shared that she used those little pads to clean her face, and they left enough mineral oil on her skin.
