Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are one of the most cherished couples in Bollywood. They have been together for a decade now and completed five years of marital bliss. And now, Deepika herself addressed this frequently-asked question and talked about starting a family.
During a recent interview with Vogue Singapore, Deepika Padukone was asked about her thoughts on embracing motherhood and starting a family. Responding to the same, the actress enthusiastically stated that she and Ranveer are looking forward to the day when they will start their own family. She added:
"Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family."

Speaking along the same lines, Deepika shared that she wishes to raise her children the way her parents raised her. The actress added that when she reconnects with people from her past, they often tell her about how she has remained unchanged. Talking about the solid upbringing she experienced, Deepika shared that she and Ranveer hope to inculcate the same values in their children. In her words:
"When I meet the people I have grown up with, they always mention how I haven't changed one bit. That says a lot about our upbringing. My family keeps me grounded and Ranveer and I hope to inculcate the same values in our children."
Deepika further added that despite the allure of fame and wealth in the glitz and glam world, her home is a safe space where she is not treated as a celebrity. She also mentioned that she is first a daughter and a sister at home, and she wishes to preserve that identity. Talking about her relationship with Ranveer, the actress shared that the conflicting filming schedules and constant travel often constrain their time together. She further spoke about the significance of prioritising quality moments with her husband, Ranveer, and their respective families, and added that the eight of them are a tightly-knit unit.

On November 15, 2023, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone celebrated their 5th anniversary. The actor shared an unmissable picture with his wife, Deepika from their vacation to mark the occasion. In the picture, Deepika could be seen giving a sweet peck of love on Ranveer’s cheek, as they posed against a scenic backdrop. Ranveer wore a black-hued graphics printed T-shirt teamed with black pants, a black overcoat, and a cap. Deepika, on the other hand, wore a black outfit, paired with a grey muffler and icy-blue long overcoat. Alongside the picture, Ranveer penned a meaningful caption, that had the number 5, followed by an infinity symbol and a few white heart emoticons.
