Bollywood and cricket weddings are the most-talked-about buzz in the nation. But when it concerns any big-shot from the industry, whether its glam world- Bollywood or tinsel town, or cricket, businessmen and politicians, the buzz spreads around the internet in no time. Currently, the reports are floating on the internet about the wedding of Akash Ambani, scion of India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani.
The reports have been doing the rounds that the Chairman and MD of Reliance Industries Limited, Mukesh’s elder son, Akash is soon going to tie the nuptial knot. And the girl who is going to be the bahu of the Ambani khandaan is none other than the daughter of Diamantaire Russell Mehta, Shloka Mehta. While both the families have refused to comment on the wedding rumours, the reports suggest that Shloka and Akash might get formally engaged in few weeks. And the wedding might take place in early December.
Let us familiarise the uninitiated ones with the soon-to-be bride and groom. 26-year-old Akash Ambani is the elder son of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani. Akash, the chief of the strategy of Jio, has a twin sister, Isha and a younger brother, Anant. On the other hand, his bride, Shloka has completed her Masters in Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Shloka is also serving on the board of directors panel for Rosy Blue Diamonds and is also the Co-Founder, Director at ConnectFor. Ambani and Mehta families know each other for a long time and Shloka and Akash have studied together in the same school, Dhirubhai Ambani International School. A source close to the family has been quoted as saying, by a leading media portal as, "No dates of either the wedding or engagement of Akash Ambani have been finalised". The source further added, "As and when any good news is to be shared, the family will be delighted to share with everyone." The source also revealed the engagement date to be March 24, 2018. The source stated, "Importantly and to reaffirm that as and when any wedding is finalised, it will only be in India". One of the family friends, said to a media portal, "Shloka is a very charming girl, extremely cultured and it’s difficult to say which of the two families is lucky with this upcoming marriage." Akash and Shloka are described by a close family friend as among "the most respected diamond business families of India and around the world".
Akash and Shloka wedding will surely be the wedding of the year!
