Akanksha Puri is a popular face of Indian television, who won the hearts of her fans with her impeccable acting chops and gorgeous beauty. She is remembered for her performances in television operas and shows like Vignaharta Ganesh and CID. However, she rose to immense stardom with her stint in reality shows like Bigg Boss 15, Bigg Boss OTT 2, Swayamvar-Mika Di Vohti and others. She has also starred in a number of music videos and made cameo appearances in a few films. In her personal life, she was earlier in a steady relationship with Paras Chhabra. But they broke up later due to reasons best known to them.
Recently, Akanksha Puri took to her social media handle and shared a glimpse of undergoing a special treatment at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai, as she got her eggs frozen. The 35-year-old actress initiated her first step towards embracing motherhood, and through her caption, narrated how she had little complications to deal with, and a few more surgeries lined up. Expressing a sense of gratitude, she penned:
“Yes i did it !! I got my EGGS Freezed !! Took my first step towards MOTHERHOOD Yes i had little complications so it was difficult for me unlike others and i still have few more surgeries, few more weeks of cycles left..But i am enjoying this beautiful journey and i am happy i am doing it all by myself..My msg to all girls.. You are stronger than you think!! You Got this Girl."

Akanksha Puri grabbed a lot of headlines during her stint in Bigg Boss OTT 2, especially when she shared a steamy kiss with co-contestant and model, Jad Hadid as a part of a task in the show. While the gesture left many infuriated and a lot of questions were raised, in a later episode of the show, the actress was seen discussing with Jad, the need for her to clear the situation with him. Thereafter, she also spoke to him about her past relationship with Paras Chhabra and remarked how things between them never got a proper closure, In her words:
“I get a little scared of the consequences. I told you I had a past on this show itself. I was not the participant, somebody else was who I was with at that time, and we never broke up.”
In another of her interview with Siddharth Kannan, Akanksha Puri addressed the matter of her kissing Jad Hadid inside the Bigg Boss OTT 2 house passionately for a long time. While it was nothing serious and merely a matter of a task, the gesture faced a lot of flak nonetheless. However, later on, Akanksha again clarified her stance in the whole matter and referred that the entire kissing task was pre-planned by the makers of the show, and the clips from the same was propagated on social media as the ‘hottest kiss ever’.

After her stint in Bigg Boss, Akanksha again hit headlines when she won the reality show, Swayamvar-Mika Di Vohti and was selected by the singer, Mika Singh as her would-be-bride. However, after the show got over, Mika and Akanksha never really got married formally. Shedding light on the same, the actress, in an interview with BollywoodLife opened up about whether she sees her future with Mika Singh. She explained:
“He is busy with his work, and so am I. We are not dating. Yes, we are still good friends. He is someone who has been with me through the years as a buddy. Mika Singh is a genuine human being. I believe your life partner should be someone who is a good friend. If we ever come closer in the future, then I would surely think about it. But nothing is happening as of now."
