In today's age of social media and influencer culture, things like overconsumption and extreme makeovers are becoming a disturbing obsession among the masses, especially the younger generation. Right now, the internet's obsession with extreme self-improvement has found its most controversial trend for men, 'Looksmaxxing', and its most popular face is Braden Peters, better known online as Clavicular.
In the past few months, Clavicular has kept returning to the headlines for all the wrong reasons, from association with controversial creators like Andrew Tate, running his truck over pedestrians, to his March 2026 arrest for battery, and now his hospitalization after a suspected overdose.

On Tuesday, April 14, 2026 (ET), reports emerged that Clavicular had to be rushed to the hospital after suffering a suspected overdose. The Miami-based influencer looked disoriented during his livestream on Tuesday evening, appearing alongside fellow looksmaxxing influencer Androgenic. Peters was reportedly live-streaming from a bar in Miami when he suddenly showed signs of distress with his speech slurring. He was heard repeating that he was "f---ing destroyed" as he and his friends approached a young woman. He said:
"Holy s--- dude, I'm trying my best, but I'm f---ing destroyed right now."

Peter looks visibly disoriented as he slumps forward after the group settles in a bar. Androgenic seemingly asks him whether he needs Adderall, a prescription medicine for ADHD, before the stream abruptly ends, sparking worry among fans. It was later reported that he was rushed to the emergency room and admitted under the influence of an unknown substance. Androgenic later updated fans on X, writing:
"I hadn’t seen him in this state before, and he went from speaking to being fairly unresponsive in mere seconds. Within a minute, we all realised the situation, turned the stream off, picked him up and rushed him to the hospital."

While Clavicular is currently reported to be stable, the situation has once again sparked curiosity about the dark reality behind his unrealistic, almost comical physique, which made him a niche favourite in the looksmaxxing community. Let's take a look at the 20-year-old influencer's questionable rise to fame with his online identity that critics say feeds off of young men's insecurities about their appearance.

Clavicular's whole identity on the internet is around 'looksmaxxing', a controversial internet trend that focuses on maximizing one's physical attractiveness, not through everyday activities, but through extreme practices. While the term itself originated in the 2010s, it gained popularity in the 2020s on social media, especially TikTok, Reddit, and Instagram. The trend, mainly followed by young men, analyzes facial features and promotes methods that can range from overt skincare routines to cosmetic surgery. The main focus is on "fixing" male beauty standards through jawlines, eye angles, and facial symmetry.

Clavicular began his social media journey by posting content on his transformation, but it quickly evolved into a full-blown persona built on hyper-confidence and extreme transformation of his physical appearance, something that he describes as "ascension". Now, he streams his daily life moments for hours and even coaches followers on how to "ascend" physically.
Clavicular has written on his Instagram bio, "Looksmaxing changes lives." His social media presence keeps expanding, with 538,000 followers on Instagram, over 851,000 followers on TikTok, and nearly 300,000 followers on Kick, where he live-streams regularly. Reports suggest he earns significant income through platforms like Kick, with a growing audience on livestreaming platforms. During his 30-day 'IRL' marathon stream in March, his viewership crossed millions within hours.

In February 2026, Clavicular's rising fame led him to the runway during New York Fashion Week, walking in the Elena Velez Ready-to-Wear Fall/Winter 2026–2027 show. His look was featured on top lifestyle magazines such as The Spectator and Bacara.

With his evolving online presence, Clavicular has been making significant earnings through Kick subscriptions, donations, and brand endorsements. As of March 2026, his monthly income was reported to be around USD 100,000 or more. According to multiple reports, his net worth is currently estimated at around USD 1.2 million to USD 1.5 million.
While he looks undeniably attractive, it's also the key reason behind his notoriety on the internet. His methods of "ascension" have drawn sharp criticism from experts and viewers alike, due to his claims of steroid use, extreme dieting, and even self-harm practices to alter facial structure.
Clavicular's controversial 'looksmaxxing' procedures have reportedly included anabolic steroid use for muscle growth, lipodissolve injections (used to dissolve fat deposits, not FDA-approved), and experimental facial modification practices such as "bone smashing", i.e., DIY facial modification through repeated blunt trauma to bones.

However, it's not just the disturbing ascension practices that have made Clavicular a controversial figure. At just 20 years old, he keeps finding himself in the middle of constant controversy, and it looks like his overall online presence thrives on pushing boundaries. So far, he has been arrested on battery-related charges, accused of staging or exploiting violent incidents for views, and even linked with polarising internet personalities like Andrew Tate. With his recent hospitalization, the internet's concerns about his own health and that of his followers have risen.
Clavicular is still in the hospital, but his condition is stable. He hasn't made a public statement about his condition yet. People on the internet are worried about his health and are also questioning the disturbing reality of what the influencer and FOMO culture are making "looksmaxxers" do to their bodies that can cause serious, sometimes even permanent, damage for the sake of "ascension."
Clavicular's journey reflects a darker side of internet fame, one that raises serious concerns about the new generation of influencers. What are your thoughts on the influencer's rise to fame?
