Sanjay Dutt advised Aishwarya Rai not to enter the film industry

In the same interview, Sanjay Dutt also advised Aishwarya to stick to her modelling career and not enter the film industry. Talking about Aishwarya’s innocence, Dutt said that the captivating beauty that she possessed at that moment would eventually fade away due to the demands and challenges of the film world, which are not easy to handle. He also shed some light on the cut-throat competition and said:

“When you come into this glamour industry, it starts changing you, maturing you, that innocence is lost. That beautiful side that she has right now on her face will disappear. Because she has to handle the film world right and that is not easy to do. It’s competitive. It’s like Man I have to look better than that, I’ve gotta be there.’ You know you climb two steps and there will be like 500 people pulling you down five steps. And you become hard. And those beautiful qualities are gone.”

Listening to Sanjay Dutt, Aishwarya understood his perspective and agreed with him that the acting world has its fair share of struggles. However, she mentioned that when one endures so much in their acting career, it hardens them in the future. She was heard saying:

“I suppose that’s true. There are so many things you’ve got to handle that I suppose it does harden you.”

However, Sanjay Dutt further revealed his take on success and failure in Bollywood thinking that it might break Aishwarya Rai. The actor mentioned that the film industry has no place for feelings and one has to endure everything on their own. He added that successful actors have a lot of friends while struggling actors have to survive alone in Bollywood. In his words:

“lt’s too professional, there are no feelings existing in this industry. You’ve gotta be prepared that if you’re not doing well, nobody’s there for you. And if you are, you’ll have everyone around you. When they’re all there, it’s handled differently. But when you’re alone, it’s sad to accept the fact that they don’t want you anymore.”
