Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai got married on April 20, 2007, in Mumbai. And after enjoying their marital bliss for almost four years, they hopped onto the parenthood journey after the arrival of their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, in November 2011. However, Abhishek and Aishwarya were constantly bombarded with questions about planning a kid soon after their marriage, and once, the actor reacted to the same.
In a throwback interview with GQ magazine in 2010, Abhishek Bachchan had talked about planning kids a couple of years after his wedding to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He revealed that he would love to have two kids as he also has a sister, Shweta Bachchan. However, the actor also mentioned that he was against the whole thing of planning kids as he and Aishwarya were trying for a baby back then. He said:
"I’ll be happy with two kids. I mean I have a sister, so maybe that’s where it comes from. I feel they are blessings of God, and it should just happen as and when. You know, whenever it’s meant to be. I am against the whole ‘Let’s plan it’, you know, ‘We’re trying for a baby’."

Further in the interview, Abhishek Bachchan also shared that he felt weird when people asked him about his and Aishwarya's plans to have babies. Mentioning that he did not want people to know about it, the actor slammed the people for their obsession with his and Aishwarya's baby plans. Asking the people to mind their own business, Abhishek had said:
"I find that a bit weird. I don’t want to have that vision in my head of somebody else. And now I’ve finally decided that I’m that sort of a guy. It’s really none of your business. I find it very intrusive. I really don’t want to know when other people are having babies; why would you want to know when I’m having babies?”
Abhishek Bachchan shares a beautiful relationship with his angel, Aaradhya Bachchan, and happily surrenders to his daughter's every demand. However, not many know that Abhishek had got his ear pierced to support Aaradhya. Back in 2017, when the actor graced the show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 9, he narrated the story behind his ear piercing and revealed that he had got his ear pierced at Aaradhya’s ear-piercing ceremony. Sharing the reason behind the same, Abhishek shared that he didn't want his little one to get hurt alone and wanted to experience how painful the experience was.

Coming back to Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai's love story, the duo had been best friends, and later, their friendship turned into a beautiful union. Abhishek was bowled over by Aishwarya’s beauty when he saw her for the first time during his visit to Switzerland for the recce of a film. Later the duo shared the screen in three films including, Umrao Jaan, Guru and Dhoom 2, and developed feelings for each other after spending time together. Finally, it was during the premiere of their film, Guru, that Abhishek proposed to Aishwarya, and the rest is history.
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan completed 16 years of marital bliss on April 20, 2023, and they have been shelling out major couple goals.
