Katy Perry Takes A Subtle Dig At Her Ex-BF, Josh Groban's Engagement With Actress, Natalie McQueen

The global icon, Katy Perry, who is widely recognised for songs like Roar, Dark House, Firework and more, is currently grabbing attention for her personal life. Even though she is in a relationship with Justin Trudeau, the singer recently reacted to her ex-boyfriend, Josh Gorban’s engagement with British actress, Natalie McQueen. For the unversed, Katy Perry and Josh Groban dated for a long time around 2009; however, they broke up.

A few hours ago, Katy Perry shared a video clip on her TikTok, in which appeared to be in a white bathrobe and seemed to be pouring a large glass of Champagne. Further, the singer pretended to cry dramatically while sipping the drink. However, what grabbed attention was that the song, The One That Got Away was playing in the background. For the unversed, Katy Perry once revealed that the song was inspired by Josh Groban.

As soon as Katy Perry’s TikTok video clip went viral, multiple fans shared their thoughts on the same. While some recalled the good days of Katy and Josh’s relationship, others took a dig at her relationship with Justin Trudeau. One user commented, "This is bold and I love it, maybe they will break their engagement for you." Another user wrote, "I didn’t even realise this is Katy Perry’s account." A third fan called the singer ‘crazy’ for posting content related to her ex-boyfriend.

The One That Got Away is one of Katy Perry’s most popular songs. The song was released in 2010, and some fans instantly connected it with the singer’s relationship with Josh Groban. Later, during a livestream in 2017, Katy confirmed the same. The next year, Josh appeared on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen and during a candid chat, he explained that he was shocked by Katy’s revelations. He was quoted as saying:

"I was not expecting that. That was a double take and a spit of my coffee when I saw that. It’s very sweet of her to say that. And then I listened to the lyrics of the song. And I’m like, ‘I never owned a Mustang. I don’t have a tattoo. Are you sure that’s about me?’ I’m very flattered by it. But I was very surprised by it too."

It is worth mentioning that by 2018, Josh Groban and Katy Perry had already parted ways. So during the same conversation with Andy Cohen, when he was asked about his relationship, Josh explained that they parted ways mutually and they will always continue to be friends. He mentioned that they decided to part ways because they both prefer to lead private lives. He stated, "We’ve been very good friends to this day. She’s the best."
