The latest wave of accusations stems from a viral screenshot of her Instagram post in which global pop icon, Justin Bieber reportedly accused her of killing the duo.

Mariah Carey, in her 2020 memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey, recalled her childhood memories with her mom, Patricia. The singer and songwriter mentioned that her bond with her mom caused much pain and confusion. In fact, her therapist also suggested her to maintain distance from the people who caused her pain. Thus, she began calling her mom Pat. She added that their relationship had both good and bad sides. In her memoir, Mariah wrote:

"The bond has caused me so much pain and confusion. For my sanity and peace of mind, my therapist encouraged me to literally rename and reframe my family. My mother became Pat to me. There was a presence of betrayal and beauty. Of love and abandonment. Of sacrifice and survival. There is a cloud of sadness that I suspect will always hang over me, not simply because of my mother but because of our complicated journey together."

In her 2020 memoir, Mariah also opened up about her troublesome relationship with her sister, Alison Carey. She addressed their bond as 'dangerous' and 'broken.' Mariah claimed that her sister, Alison, once drugged her and attempted to 'pimp her out.' Later, Alison filed a lawsuit against Mariah over the shocking claims. She used to call her sister, ex-sister. In her memoir, Mariah wrote:

"Emotionally and physically safer for me not to have any contact with her."

However, it was a viral screenshot of global popstar, Justin Bieber’s comment on the post that was spread like wildfire. Screenshot showed Justin reportedly commenting, "You killed your mom and sis for the illuminati and literally ate your own mom. Like, wtf?" Earlier, in 2020, Mariah’s sister, Alison, accused members of her family of ritual abuse.

Although, the allegations were unproven, Justin’s alleged comment on the post has further fuelled the satanic ritual speculation. However, Mariah’s recent post did not contain Justin’s comment as the global icon had not made any claims over the following. The viral screenshot circulating online is fabricated, and there is no truth to it. It is still unclear why Justin was dragged into the matter, causing a major controversy involving iconic singer, Mariah Carey.

The singer and songwriter has not yet made any comment on the viral claim. The misleading post originated from an account named Jay Anderson (@TheProject Unity) on X (formerly Twitter). It quickly gained momentum online and soon crossed 1 million views. This viral screenshot spread the conspiracy theory, with multiple users reposting the false claim.
