A couple of days ago, on December 01, 2018, the newly-weds, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh hosted their third wedding reception and the second one in Mumbai. It was a star-studded affair with many Bollywood celebrities attending the occasion. A few names included Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Rekha, Hema Malini, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, among others. And the one family who also attended Deepika and Ranveer’s Mumbai reception were the Ambanis. Mukesh Ambani with wife, Nita Ambani, their children- Isha Ambani, Anant Ambani and Akash Ambani attended DeepVeer’s third reception bash. It must also be mentioned here that Akash Ambani, the eldest Ambani scion also accompanied his fiancée and wife-to-be, Shloka Mehta, and also, Anant Ambani accompanied his alleged girlfriend, Radhika Merchant. Apart from Ambani sons, Akash and Anant, daughter Isha is also taken as we all know. We wish if her husband-to-be, Anand Piramal would also have attended DeepVeer’s reception. Isha and Anand are all set to get married on December 12, 2018. On October 30, 2018, the Ambanis and Piramals released an official statement which goes like this, “We are delighted to share that the marriage of Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal will take place in the residence of Shri Mukesh Ambani and Smt. Nita Ambani in Mumbai with family members and close friends on 12th December 2018. The ceremonies will be performed in accordance with Indian traditions, customs and culture.”
It could further be read as, “During the weekend prior to the wedding, the Ambani and Piramal families will host their friends and family in Udaipur, where they are partnering with artisans and craftsmen to integrate local culture and traditions into the festivities. Both families seek the blessings and good wishes of everyone for Isha and Anand as they start their journey of togetherness. Mukesh and Nita Ambani, Isha’s parents, recently hosted a grah shanti puja for the soon-to-be bride daughter. Isha donned a Sabyasachi Mukherjee ensemble. The ace designer shared the following picture of the bride-to-be and captioned it as, “Isha Ambani @_iiishmagish for her Graha Shanti Pooja in a custom hand-painted, hand-embroidered tilla-work lehenga and antique bandhej dupatta. The outfit is a part of the India Revival Project by Sabyasachi.”
Coming back to the Ambani son, Akash Ambani, he and Shloka Mehta are reportedly taking the plunge in early 2019. The couple got officially engaged on June 30, 2018. Akash and Shloka are childhood friends, having studied in the same school together. In an interview, talking about Shloka, Akash earlier said, “I am truly happy that our friendship has blossomed into love and Shloka and I are getting married, she is a truly special and extremely kind-hearted person.”
Mother-in-law-to-be, Nita Ambani, post-Akash and Shloka’s proposal had shared with a media portal, “I have known Shloka since she was four and we are all delighted to welcome her to our home and our hearts”. The youngest Ambani son, Anant Ambani, is rumoured to be dating Radhika Merchant. For the uninitiated ones, Radhika Merchant is the daughter of Viren Merchant, the CEO and Vice Chairman of Encore Healthcare. In May 2018, a picture of Anant and Radhika went viral on social media and soon conjectures started to spread like wildfire about their engagement. Later, a Reliance spokesperson dismissed such speculations and told Business Today, "Anant Ambani is not engaged yet.” A video of Nita Ambani walking hand-in-hand with Radhika recently at Priyanka and Nick’s wedding went viral.
