The lockdown and the death toll due to the deadly pandemic that Coronavirus is, has been gloomy like anything for all of us. Strange, only some 2-3 weeks back, life was absolutely normal, who would've thought it would take a full 180-degree turn and leave us all helpless and stuck in a place where we have never been before. This maybe is a call to wake us and make us realise to stop taking things for granted. As small or insignificant they might seem, we realise the value of something only after it is gone. This imposed quarantine has all of us locked up in our homes, with nothing better to do than to get bored and reminisce the good old times. These are sure, some testing times, and what better use of this time given to us, than by working on ourselves and making ourselves and our world better, for tomorrow? These depressing times are a test for all of us, to keep our sanity at bay and not lose hope. In these challenging times, some of our Bollywood celebrities are coming forward on their social media platforms and giving useful messages to their fans, motivating them and urging them to be calm and stand in harmony with each other. One such name would be one of the most popular actresses of Bollywood, Anushka Sharma, who is married to Indian cricket team's captain, Virat Kohli.
Anushka Sharma is spending her quarantine time with husband, Virat Kohli in their house. Being the ideal celebrity couple that they are, they had pledged monetary help to PM-CARES for country's fight against the dangerous pandemic. Anushka also time and again, encourages her millions of fans to stay positive for this time too, shall pass. Recently, she took to her Instagram handle and shared an adorable picture of herself, husband, Virat Kohli and their pet, all three cuddling with each other. She captioned the picture as, "very dark cloud had a silver lining. And this time, while it may seem like the worst time and in so many ways it actually is, has also forcefully made us all stop and deal with things we might have been running away from because either we were ‘busy’ or it was convenient to say we were 'busy'. If this time is respected for what it is, it will enable more light to shine through. This time has also made us all realise what's truly important. For me just having food, water and a roof over my head and the good health of my family seems MOST important. Everything else is a bonus that I bow my head in gratitude for. But, that which we call 'basic' is not so basic for everyone after looking at all the people who struggle for just those few things. My prayers with them and their families." Anushka then further added, "May everyone be safe and secure. This time has surely made me more reflective. This need to stay at home with your loved ones has been forced upon the entire world but there is a deep lesson for us all. There is a lesson to strive for work and life balance ( I've valued and strived for this dearly for many years now ), there is a lesson to devote more time in things that actually matter. Today, when I'm surrounded by all the blessings in my life, I just want to tell everyone how much compassion I feel for everyone who I see suffer. I want to help as many possible in the best of my abilities. I feel pride in our resilience to be better human beings. I can instinctively feel this in and around me. We will all have our individual and subjective lessons from this time and hopefully, such lessons will continuously stay with us all."
Being the ever so sweet couple that Anushka and Virat are, they don't disappoint their fans by sharing pictures of their mushy PDA moments. It would not be an understatement to say that this unlikely couple is one of the most popular couples in the country. Spending quarantine time with hubby, Virat, Anushka had taken upon herself to give a grooming session to Virat, by giving him a haircut, with a pair of kitchen scissors. She had even uploaded a video of herself doing it, with the caption, "Meanwhile, in quarantine." Virat could be seen saying, "This is what quarantine does to you." in the video. Seems we all could take some inspiration from Anushka's words in these gloomy times. What do you say?
