Amid the good news, an old statement of Anne Hathaway has resurfaced, in which she revealed that she has always announced her pregnancies after being photographed on the streets. While Anne Hathaway and her husband, Adam Shulman are currently on cloud nine as they are all set to welcome their third child, an old statement of the actress has gone viral. Well, in 2025, Anne, during a candid interview, Anne revealed that she was somewhat forced to announce her last two pregnancies as she was photographed with her baby bump on the streets. For the unversed, Anne and Adam are parents to two sons. Anne Hathaway was quoted as saying:
"Basically, I saw someone was taking photos of me and I think at that point, people kind of knew I was pregnant. I think there were some street shots where you’re just like, ‘Eh, just had a big meal.’ But I was just like, 'Ok, this is going to happen now.'"
Further, Anne Hathaway explained that after being photographed on the streets, she had a conversation with her husband about the same. After that, they together decided to share the news in a more personal manner. In her words:
"And I remember talking to Adam about it and I was like, 'Maybe this is a good use for social media'. If it’s going to happen anyway, maybe I can put something out that feels more personal and that comes from me as opposed to it having to be this thing that happens outside of me. And so yeah, that was one of the first times that I ever realized that, I don’t know, I got to make the announcement myself. It was really, really cool."
The 43-year-old actress, Anne welcomed her first child- a son named Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman with her husband, Adam in 2016. Three years later, in 2019, she welcomed her second child, Jack. It is worth noting that while announcing her second pregnancy, the actress candidly spoke about her challenges and expressed her support towards people who have faced struggles in pregnancy. After having two children, Anne expressed gratitude and described herself 'lucky'. In her words:
"I know that not everybody who wants to be a mom gets to be, or a parent gets to be. And I’m just blown away by how fortunate I am. I just got emotional taking a look at that to realize that it went really well for me twice. And that’s really lucky."
A while ago, on June 19, 2026, Anne Hathaway took to her IG handle to share an unplanned video. In the same, she can be seen in a white one-piece as she proudly flaunts her baby bump. It is worth noting that the pregnancy glow is clearly visible on her face. Soon after the video went viral, one user commented, "The newest prince or princess of Genovia!" Another user wrote, "Imagine having Anne Hathaway as your mom." A third user penned, "Smiling ear to ear. Congratulations beautiful Anne!" Apart from them, Priyanka Chopra commented, "Yesss congratulations."
