Now, Ram has come under public scrutiny for disrespecting the host Farah Khan on the show, Lock Upp 2.
Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh co-host the show, Lock Upp 2. In a recent episode of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, the Bade Achhe Lagte Hain star was seen raising his voice at the host Farah Khan. In the particular episode, the inmates' supporters had to help them win a task and save them from the upcoming elimination. During a task, Ram asked his wife, Gautami Kapoor, not to target Akanksha Choudhary. His repetitive requests made Farah upset, and she scolded him and said:
"Toh ek kaam karna trophy usko de de abhi. Why didn't you say the same thing for Shilpa then? When everyone ganged up on her?"
In response, Ram raised his voice and said, "Because Shilpa is my enemy, she is not. I am owning my truth." Ram’s response left Farah far more upset. His behaviour towards Farah didn’t go well with netizens, and they slammed Ram for the following. Soon after the clip of the particular segment went viral on the internet, netizens flooded the comment section. A user wrote, "Even I felt bad. But Farah didn't let that show on her face. Respect the host or don’t sign up. And Ram came out and went on to do the same with Pam."
Another user commented, "Ram was shouting so rudely at her, no basic manners or politeness towards the host. She should have punished him for that. She is doing a great job as a host and jailer. Also hats off to her patience, as that man was acting so vile." A user wrote on Reddit, "Farah is too good for this show. I absolutely hated Ram for raising his voice at Farah. Farah showed him who she is by being calm. He won't raise his voice against Salman." Another comment can be read as:
"Farah is too good for this show. I absolutely hated Ram for raising his voice at Farah. Farah showed him who she is by being calm. You can't expect that decency from Ravan, oops Ram. He won't raise his voice against Salman. Last episode, Riteish called him a mega star. I might be wrong, but I think this show needs a tougher host like Salman. Riteish and Farah are too soft."
It is worth noting some users also defended Ram. A user wrote on Reddit, "You all are too sensitive. He said this is how I am and I am owning my truth. Whatever that meant. He didn’t say anything rude or mean." Defending Ram, a user commented on Reddit:
"I agree that yelling at the host is not okay, but what was Farah expecting? She is a host. Why give your unnecessary input in the middle of the game, and try to change the outcome? I don’t like Ram, but he has full rights to tell Gautami who to target. Like, it’s a game; what else is the point? Throughout the season Farah and Riteish have been so selective with whom they choose to call out. When Suzanne was trying to knock down Ram, Farah also inserted herself and started saying why are you doing that?"
