MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has been hitting the headlines with his cameo in 'Survivor 50'. How much was he paid for the same?
MrBeast, the famous YouTuber, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has been teasing about his cameo on the series, Survivor 50. The show is currently running on its 10th episode and has been winning the hearts of the audience. This week, a surprising guest was MrBeast, aka, Jimmy Donaldson. He dropped by and teased his new Super Beware Advantage. The episode aired on April 29, 2026, and with his cameo, MrBeast has been hitting the headlines.
Arrival of celebrities is not new on the show; in fact, last week, only Jimmy Fallon's arrival on the show sparked a debate as one of the much-loved players had to go home, leading people to think that a celebrity's arrival can affect the game's twists, for that matter. But do these celebrities get paid for their appearance? As MrBeast was a guest on the show as well, let's know whether he was paid a huge chunk of money. To mention, there's no confirmation on whether MrBeast was paid for his cameo in Survivor 50 or not.
However, it was before the season was launched that the host, Jeff Probst, revealed what was going to be the case. Season 50 is definitely one of the most anticipated seasons, given the fact that several previous contestants, who, not only once, but multiple times had been a part of the previous seasons, were going to compete with each other.
Jeff Probst revealed to Entertainment Weekly that there's definitely a huge prize money towards the end, which is slightly higher than the other seasons, which had been USD 1,000,000. Well, speaking of the fee for the cameos, as it seems there's no monetary prize for it, as Jeff also mentioned that this season, there are going to be no big appearance fees. To quote Jeff:
"With this season, there was not going to be any big appearance fees. The prize money is slightly higher than normal ($1,000,000), and that’s it. We were very clear when we called each player: ‘These are non-negotiable terms. You’re going to be here for 26 days and here’s the money. This isn’t a leverage situation. If the prize money is what you’re here for, then maybe 50 is not for you. We want people who want to be here to be a part of 50.'”
MrBeast, on Rob Has a Podcast, spoke about his then-upcoming cameo on the reality show. Viewers have always talked about the celebrities being on the show, claiming that the focus remains mostly on them rather than the contestants. Well, MrBeast said that he is aware of what the viewers feel, but they should keep an open mind in this aspect and give it a try.
It was after the appearance of Zac Brown that people were discussing the same on social media, stating that the country singer got more confessionals than the contestants on the show. However, MrBeast reacted to the same and mentioned that he hopes that people like what he had done with the show, as it had been one of his favourite pieces of content to date. On the same podcast, MrBeast mentioned that he has learned a lot from the showrunner and the host. He could be quoted as saying:
"I was like, 'Oh.' Because when I was watching him host, I would be like, 'What would I do in this instance?' And I would — in my head I'm like, 'Oh, I definitely would've stepped in.' But in this instance, he's just letting them play out. Even though it's, like, very tense and very, like, borderline awkward. So I was just taking a bunch of notes down watching him."
