Andrew Garfield has nothing but praise for his 'Spider-Man' successor Tom Holland. The actor appeared for the screening of his new film Magic Faraway Tree in New York City on July 30, 2026 (ET) and revealed what he thought of Tom playing the much-loved role. In a chat with Page Six, he complimented the actor's skill and admitted that he was filled with love and appreciation for the star. He was quoted as saying:
"I think Tom is an incredible actor playing that character, and I love him and support him, and just want the best for him. I love Tom. I love Spider-Man; I always have loved Spider-Man since I was 3 years old."
Andrew Garfield admitted that he was looking forward to seeing Tom Holland step in as 'Peter Parker' in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The film will premiere in the United States on Friday. He shared that he was extremely excited about the new chapter in the much-awaited film. He expressed his enthusiasm about the Marvel franchise and was quoted as saying:
"I'm very, very excited to see the film."
Andrew Garfield, who played the superhero in 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man and the 2014 sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2, was the second actor to take on the role for Sony. He followed the big shoes of Tobey Maguire, who played the character for the studio between 2002 and 2007 in the original Spider-Man film trilogy.

I think the last big commodity on the planet right now is time, space, and quiet, and I think that's going to become more and more valuable as time goes on now because our attention's been captured and stolen by these things all the time."
