Mackenzie Shirilla's new audio of her call with her mother from prison surfaces

In a new phone call from Mackenzie Shirilla to her mother, she revealed her true and honest feelings about the trial testimony and how the victims' families' statements influenced the trial's verdict. Strongsville police released hours of audio between Mackenzie and her mother. In one of the calls, Mackenzie discussed being worried about her stuff, and she knew that they had judgment about her. In another call, Mackenzie talked about the victim's mother and brother's statements. She stated that her friend, Davion, who died in the crash, his mother knew nothing about her. But what Miss Russo and Angelo talked about was crazy. She said:

"I understand Davion’s mom and how they were saying things because they don’t know me…but it’s just what Miss Russo and Angela said that was just crazy."

While her mother supported her and stated that she mocked the family's remark about the military, she stated that it was a lie, and her brother said so to sound like a respectable young man, which literally made her tears stop. She was quoted as saying:

"Mom, that’s a lie. I think he said that so that the judge is like, ‘oh, he sounds very respectable young man…that literally made my tears stop when he said that. Like my tears just got all sucked right back up."

It is worth mentioning that in 2022, the prosecutors stated that the then-teenager knowingly drove up to 100 miles per hour before slamming her car into a brick wall in Strongsville, killing her boyfriend and her friend. Coming back to the calls, her mother was quick to calm her down and stated that those are just evil people, and not to think about the victims' families, as said in the trial.

"Kenzie, they’re just evil people, baby, I’m sorry. Don’t think on it. Do not think on it anymore."

Not only this, but Mackenzie also got engaged in a sexually explicit video call. The authorities revealed that she was found showing her breasts to a visitor. However, Mackenzie admitted to this charge. Another officer claimed that in August 2025, another jail inmate was seen grabbing Mackenzie's butt, which was a consensual sexual conduct which violates jail rules. However,  Mackenzie denied the same.
