Jessica Pegula’s husband, Taylor Gahagen, has a long list of experience over the years
Taylor Gahagen grew up in Williamsville, New York, and went to Williamsville North High School. While there, he was part of the school's baseball team and became friends with his classmate Rob Gronkowski. Taylor later completed his higher studies at the State University of New York at Fredonia and Canisius University.
According to Taylor’s LinkedIn profile, he has been serving as a managing partner for Agarwood Wealth since 2024. His career started years ago in various fields, including that he was a hockey graduate assistant at Canisius College Athletics. He was an executive for the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres between 2013 and 2023. Taylor also served as an executive for Pegula Sports and Entertainment during the same period.
In 2017, he became the Senior Vice President & Board of Directors at ADPRO Sports, Inc. He left the company in 2023. Apart from being active at Agarwood Wealth, he is working for many other companies at the same time.
Since 2018, he has been the Vice President of Ready 24 and is the co-owner of Intrepid Sports. Apart from these, he has been the co-owner of ServiceMaster Clean of Buffalo, NY since 2023. Taylor joined A Lending Paw as its president in 2024. He has also been the managing partner for Dragos Capital since 2023.
Jessica Pegula and Taylor Gahagen first met a few years before they tied the knot
Jessica Pegula and Taylor Gahagen have mostly kept their relationship out of the public eye. They were first linked in 2015 after she posted a picture from a costume party they attended together. Though that Instagram post has since been removed, the oldest photo of them that remains on her profile is from a New York City outing in September 2016.
It is not clear when Taylor Gahagen proposed, but Jessica Pegula was seen with a diamond ring on her finger in early 2019. The couple had originally planned to get married in October 2020, but the wedding was delayed because of the pandemic. Pegula later said on the Tennis.com podcast that they had decided to postpone it by a year.
The pair exchanged vows in October 2021 at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. The small ceremony was attended by family, close friends, and fellow players, including Jennifer Brady, Asia Muhammad, and more. Due to Jessica’s tennis schedule, they could not take a honeymoon until summer 2022.
In July 2022, they travelled to Costa Rica, where they spent their free time differently. Pegula told the WTA that she is more adventurous than her husband. While she went waterfall rappelling and ziplining, Gahagen chose to stay back and watch. Jessica described the trip as amazing and a lot of fun, and said they were eager to go back. She added that they loved the people, the food, and the overall lifestyle.
