And as fans are eagerly awaiting the winner's name, a rumour has been going around that Shivangi Joshi won the show and defeated Harshad Chopda and the rest of the contestants. While it has not yet been confirmed, the internet has been giving hilarious reactions.
The contestants in the finale week are Harshad Chopra, Shreya Kalra, Shilpa Shinde, Ram Kapoor, Varun Yadav, Akanksha Chamola, and Shivangi Joshi. However, the internet is rife with the claim that Shivangi Joshi has won the show. Soon, netizens expressed their point of view and stated that she has been evicted from the show.
In the latest episode, Riteish Deshmukh put up a condition in front of Harshad Chopda to sacrifice his position as a winner and give it to Shivangi. Without giving a second thought, Harshad agreed and left the show. Hence, Shivangi is still part of the show.
The internet quickly reacted to the winner claim. One user wrote, "The only thing Harshad did in the show is this sacrifice other than crying. Shivangi is better than Harshad, who has no courage." A second one penned, "Never wanted to smack someone like her in the face right now, hope she doesnt win because all she did in this show was cry like she is in the Bigg Boss house."
A third one commented, "Abhi Shreya ne Yogesh ka naam liya hota tab Harshad se puchte ki kya wo kise finalist banana chahta hai, such a biased show, I'm not even a fan of Harshad, but I felt so bad for him, he deserves better friend." Another wrote, "So dumb & undeserving! That girl was literally going home if it wasn’t for Harshad's sacrifice & mind you she don’t even need that prize money like what has become of tv shows? Contestants who give their all get eliminated/runner up & the winners are nallas who sleep whole season?"
Another pointed, “Bro, what even was that drama? If this was the plan, we could've just watched an Ektaa Kapoor serial. Harshad wasn't a contestant—he was just Shivangi's stepping stone. Congratulations, Shivangi Joshi, for successfully running an Ektaa Kapoor script."
For the unversed, Shivangi and Harshad have worked together in Ekta Kapoor's show, Bade Acche Lagte Hain 4, and have developed a strong friendship. But ever since they became part of the reality show, Lock Upp, they are inseparable; many pointed out the nature of their relationship inside and outside the show. Shilpa Shinde even tried to add distance between them, but it backfired, and the couple got another chance to make their bond the talk of the show.
It is worth mentioning that before being linked to Harshad, Shivangi was in a relationship with Kushal Tandon. The couple was together for a year or so, and parted ways on a sad note. In fact, their breakup was widely talked about as Kushal shared a post about the breakup, but deleted it later.
For those who don't know, Lock Upp 2 is a reality show by Ektaa Kapoor. The concept is keeping the contestants as hostages in a prison-like house for four weeks. The earlier season of the show was hosted by Kangana Ranaut. However, this time, the second season is hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, and it is streaming on Netflix. Contestants like Ram Kapoor, Akanksha Chamola, Shreya Kalra, Harshad Chopda, Sufi Motiwala and more are part of the show. Shilpa Shinde also entered the show as a wild card contestant.
