Ranveer Singh had fallen in love with the ever-so-gorgeous actress, Deepika Padukone in 2012, during the making of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film, Ram-Leela. Soon, he made Deepika fall in love with him, and the couple started dating each other. And after six years of being in a relationship, Ranveer and Deepika took their wedding vows on November 14-15, 2018, in a destination wedding at Lake Como, Italy.

In a throwback interview with Filmfare, Ranveer Singh got candid about his destination wedding with the love of his life, Deepika Padukone and revealed that he wanted Deepika to have whatever she wished for at their wedding. Talking about the Lake Como wedding, the actor revealed that everything at the event was exactly according to Deepika's vision board. He was heard saying:
"Whatever Deepika wished, I wanted her to have it. That's the first step in being the husband of the millennium. Whatever her vision of getting married, I wanted her to realise it. Whatever she wanted, it was done exactly in that manner."
Further in the interview, Ranveer Singh spilled beans about the one condition that he put forward to his then-wife-to-be, Deepika Padukone, before their wedding. The actor mentioned that he let her do everything else at the wedding, except arranging for the music. Revealing that he was the DJ at his own wedding, Ranveer shared that he spent months curating his own playlist. In his words:
"I hade made it very clear that you can do everything else because you are good at all of it, unlike me. Only the music is my department. I am basically the DJ at my own wedding. I curated the playlist for months."

Ranveer Singh had made his OTT debut with the show, Ranveer vs Wild with Bear Grylls. During one of the segments of the show, Ranveer had opened up about the time when he was bowled over by his wife, Deepika Padukone's beauty and grace. Calling the incident 'love at spectacular sight', Ranveer had said:
"I met her in 2012. In our first reading and I'll never forget, the doorbell rang, and I looked like that, and these big, wooden doors opened, and she was wearing all-white and the breeze blew just at that time. It was almost like time had slowed down. In slow motion, she walks through the door, hair all flying with the breeze, looking like an absolute vision in white. Man that was it! At that moment it was ‘it’ for me. It was love at most spectacular sight."
