Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma has already made a name for herself with her outstanding acting skills and incredible fashion sense. However, she had taken a sabbatical from acting to fulfil her motherly duties and was last seen in the film, Zero, co-starring with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Now, she has already started preparations to make a comeback with her upcoming film, Chakda Xpress. Recently, we stumbled upon a throwback interview of the actress talking about sharing the parenting load with her hubby.
For the unversed, she had tied the knot with Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli on December 11, 2017. Later, they welcomed their angel, Vamika Sharma Kohli into their lives on January 11, 2021. Since then, the doting parents have been setting pure parenting goals for being super protective of their baby girl. Even after so many months since Vamika's birth, the loving parents haven't revealed her identity and love to maintain privacy regarding the same.
In an old interview with Vogue ahead of her pregnancy, Anushka Sharma was asked about her thoughts on parenting. To this, the then-mommy-to-be had talked about the importance of both the parents to look after their children. She had also stressed that though the mommy and the daddy would have to do things differently. However, since both Virat and Anushka are working parents, Anuska hinted that for her both maternity and paternity leave are normal. She had said:
“Times have changed. It’s important for children to look at parents, they learn from you. And there is a sense of normalcy that both of us do work. Of course, one will have to manage things differently and more efficiently to work.”
Further, in the same conversation, Anushka had mentioned that she and Virat hadn't separated any work such as mom's duty or dad's duty. For them, they just want a balanced environment. Citing Virat's professional commitments, she said that for her, the quality time they spend together as a family is essential. Sharing the same, she had explained:
“We don’t see it as mum and dad duties, but as a family unit. For us, it’s important that our child be raised with a very balanced outlook. It is all about shared duties. In Virat’s case, he plays around the year. What becomes important is the time we spend together as a family.”
For the unversed, this is the first time Anushka is again on the shooting floors after giving birth to her daughter, Vamika. On January 6, 2022, the doting mommy had taken to her IG handle to drop the much-awaited teaser of the upcoming biographical drama, Chakda Xpress and had announced her comeback on the silver screens.
