Former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the first Bollywood actress, who had aced the Cannes Red Carpet years ago. And with time, the diva had proved her worth as a superstar with her acting skills, dancing moves, stunning looks and sartorial fashion choices. However, not every time her fans have accepted her looks. There are times when Miss World had to face the harshness of the world.
A while back, Aishwarya Rai had walked down the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival 2022, and the netizens had trolled her for doing botox and opting for outfits that didn't suit her. A few days back, at Karan Johar's 50th birthday bash, the actress had come with her hubby, Abhishek Bachchan donning a blingy golden outfit with a black coat. Netizens had slammed her for her looks. One of them had even written, "Different dikhne ke chakkar me har bar bakwas fashion karti hai ye."
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is known for her savage replies and cool attitude. In a 2018 interview with The Indian Express, Aishwarya had opened up about the negative criticisms that she had faced over the years at the different phases in her life. In her words:
“Even in various phases of life, there has been a negativity which is a good balance to offset the immense amount of positivity I have received at various phases of my life and whether it’s in your school life, student life, college life or joining the movies. I think I have very early in life developed the ability to focus on the positives. When you do that, and you recognized that there is just so much more, it is really easier to wash away the natural pain that every human being experiences, even with the slightest negativity. We are all human. We all go through the sting, but the truth is that only we can develop the ability for ourselves to try and withstand that or negate it or brush it aside or take it on your chin.”
Going further in the conversation, Aishwarya Rai had mentioned how she deals with the trolls on a positive note and how she embraces them. Talking about the same, Aishwarya had shared that being brutally honest with oneself can self-help, self-heal and help us to face the negativity. She had said:
“It is really about your perspective and your outlook, and I know that it is easier said than done for many and immensely tough for many, and that’s why I probably keep like a mantra going on that we have to be our own best friend. By that I mean, brutally honest with yourself and in doing so, we can self-help. We can self-heal and we can face and hold on to our own sense of self.”
Aishwarya was seen at the IIFA award ceremony along with her hubby, Abhishek and their daughter, Aaradhya. Aishwarya had looked absolutely amazing in a black floral embroidered full-sleeved outfit. She had accentuated her look with her usual winged liner and red lipstick.
