Yeh Hai Mohabbatein stars, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya and Vivek Dahiya are touted as one of the most sorted and mature couples from the tinsel town. The two met on the sets of the show and started having hots for each other while working together. Revealing Divyanka's first impression on him, Vivek was once quoted as saying, “She has got this persona that she commands respect. She greets everyone very warmly and is very nice with everyone. I hadn't heard much of her then, but I knew that she was from the cream of the actors. So, I just went and said a ‘Hi’. I just didn’t want to have a conversation.”
Now, in a happy interaction with Pinkvilla, when Vivek was asked if he would ever romance Divyanka on screen, he said, “I don't know when that opportunity will come. It should be right for both of us. I don't know whether I would be able to romance her on-screen”, to which Divyanka replied saying, “He is too shy.”
Further, on a lighter note, Vivek jokingly added and was quoted as saying, “I feel it is easier to romance other people's wives (laughs) than your own onscreen. I hope the audience is taking me in a positive spirit. The thing is I love her, and it is very authentic and real. And surprisingly Divyanka agreed with him and instantly added and said, “It is very difficult to fake real emotions. Also, what happens is when we act, we tend to judge our co-actors if we don't like something. And if a couple is shooting then we might end up telling them what we don't like while shooting which we might perhaps not do with our co-star. This might create an issue in our personal lives, so we are being careful about choosing projects.”
Further, Vivek went on to add that they might work together on a particular show but would not romance with each other. The doting hubby and a brilliant actor was quoted as saying, “We may still be in the same project but maybe not romance. So, it depends. In a throwback 2016 DNA interview, the actress and her star hubby revealed lots of interesting things about their relationship. Sharing how they felt that they were the one for each other, the Qayamat Ki Raat actor had then shared, “When a co-actor suggested that Divyanka and I should meet as both of us were single, my first reaction was 'What!' I had never thought of having an arranged marriage because I feel in today's times you need to take your time, know a person and not rush into it. But he insisted that we at least go for a coffee and we did. We had met with the perspective of seeing other as a life partner and in the first meeting itself I was largely convinced that she is the one for me. But I decided not be hasty about it.”
On the other hand, Divyanka had stated, “The first time we met, the breeze of love had started blowing and by the third-fourth meeting, it had taken us by storm. I realised we are meant to be together. In the same interaction when Vivek was further probed to tell as to what attracted them towards each other, he had remarked, “Divyanka is very pleasant, positive person and I need that. I cannot handle negativity, possessiveness and restrictions. She blows me away while her smile – She has the best smile ever! I also love her eyes which show the willingness to commit. And the way she makes me feel when she is around is just great. We talk highly of compatibility but there is something beyond that which is underrated and that is the willingness to make it work, to be patient and give space to each other. These are major attributes for a successful relationship, and she has all that.”
Reminiscing an incident at a party when Vivek had gotten a chance to dance with her, he had shared, “Yes. I was very joyful that day for some reason and I tried to dance with her. Now when you dance with someone, there is bound to be some eye contact and smile exchange. But I didn't get that from her. So, I thought that she was a very arrogant person. And I wondered if her arrogant behaviour was due to the fact that I was playing a character role and she was playing the lead.” Explaining the reason behind her behaviour, she had stated, “I had become very careful about boys. I had developed this notion that 'boys are just generally not good'.”
