Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal are childhood lovebirds and are often spotted together at parties and events of Bollywood. Now, as per a Mumbai Mirror report, Natasha has already started shopping for her big day. The report suggests that Varun's long-time girlfriend has started prepping for her D-day and is on a spree of buying trousseau, flowers and silverware. The report has also claimed of Dalal admitting that she wants her wedding to be an intimate affair and she wants to do the preparations herself. Seems like Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal are all set to get married this year!
Karan Johar's show, Koffee with Karan season 6, recently witnessed Varun admitting for the first time on national television that he is planning to marry Natasha. He was quoted as saying, "I'm dating Natasha. We are a couple. I plan to marry her." The host of the show, Karan also revealed that it will be an emotional moment for him seeing Varun getting married. Karan had said, "I will feel that I'm giving my son away. I will play the K3Gtheme, meri saanson mein tu hai samaya. Mera jeevan toh hai tera saaya. And Lali (Varun's mother), me and David ji (Varun's father) will have an aarti plate."
Varun has often talked about Natasha in various interviews. In one media interaction, he had said, "She is a normal girl, she is a normal kid. She wants to live a normal life and it is my job to protect her." In another interview, he had shared, “I see it reaching a good place. She's quite a handful so full credit to her for sticking by me. Varun and Natasha's wedding has been a long-anticipated affair in the tinsel town. A source recently shared with a media house, “Varun and Natasha (Dalal) have been dating for years now. Off late, he has become very serious about his marriage plans. He wants to settle down. That’s also why he is not shying away from accepting his relationship on public platforms anymore.” Further sharing a date of Varun and Natasha's wedding, the source added, “Varun is super busy almost throughout the year. So he and his family has picked a November date as of now. It might get pushed to December if any of the shoot schedules take more time but the wedding is happening this year itself. He has even started taking tips from his married friends to know how life is post shaadi.”
In an interview with Filmfare, the October star had revealed last year his love for Natasha. He had shared, “My first love is films and everyone in my life knows that. After that comes Natasha, my family, and my friends. I just don't make relationships to let go of them."
Varun had also shared in the same interview about Natasha's influence in his life. He was quoted as saying, "Actually, I decided to do a film like 'Badlapur' or 'October’ because of her. It's because of her and some of our friends that I do slightly different films. They like such kind of cinema”. He was also asked what is the most special about his relationship, to which he had replied, “What's special about our relationship is that I have someone, who isn't with me just because I'm an actor. It's amazing to have someone like that in your life. We bond over each other and that's the main thing. We've known each other for too long, so the connection is deep. It's like family. It's always been so."
After keeping his relationship with Natasha hush-hush for a long time, Varun started getting spotted with her in the year 2016, and today, they don't shy away from making public appearances. He once shared with a media portal, "I have never hidden about my relationship, I have been spotted at several occasions. I have never spoken about it openly, that’s because the media makes different stuff and versions with it. They make you fight, break up, patch up, this and that. And she is not from the film line and as much as I can protect her from the crazy ogling, logging everything. I am protecting my personal life because for me that’s my sanctity. When I am done with shooting and home, that’s my reality check."
Talking about his marriage plans during the promotions of Sui Dhaaga, the 31-year-old actor recently shared, "As far as marriage is concerned, it's not only up to me. There's another person involved as well. So I think as and when the time is right, sab badhiya hai."
