And ever since, we have been eagerly waiting to see glimpses of their first look and sufficing to our wishes, we received exclusive pictures of Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta from their wedding ceremony. While the groom looked dapper in a pink sherwani, his lovely bride looked mesmerising in the traditional red coloured lehenga, and we must say, they both looked ethereal together. While scrolling through #AkuStoleTheShlo on social media handles, we got our hands on a video that comprises of the rituals wherein Akash applies sindoor in Shloka’s maang and put mangalsutra around her neck.
Another video surfacing on the internet has the entry of the groom, Akash Ambani holding his parents, Mukesh Ambani-Nita Ambani’s hands followed by sister and brother-in-law, Isha Ambani Piramal-Anand Piramal and brother, Anant Ambani with his rumoured girlfriend, Radhika Merchant. Akash made his groom entry on the traditional version of Albela Sajan. Take a look at their phere and other wedding rituals:
Akash Ambani’s gorgeous bride, Shloka Mehta began her journey towards the mandap, where the love of her life was waiting for her, in a phoolon ki chaadar. A melodious song was being played in the background as Shloka made her way towards the new phase of her life.

Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta along with Ambani and Mehta families have hosted a wedding reception bash for their friends and relatives. Akash and Shloka walked hand-in-hand to pose for the shutterbugs and were all smiles for the cameras. While Akash looked dapper in a black and white kurta which he teamed up with a brown coloured long jacket and black shoes, his gorgeous wife Shloka looked mesmerising in a champagne coloured lehenga. The sweetest moment from their ‘media greeting’ was when paparazzi congratulated the newly-weds and thanking them, Akash introduced Shloka to media as, “Thank you. Meri biwi se milo”, which made everyone feel ‘aww’.
Another such ‘aww’ moment took place at the Anna Seva, when Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta posed for the media. After a family picture with their parents, Mukesh Ambani-Nita Ambani and Russel Mehta-Mona Mehta, when the shutterbugs asked the dulha-dulhan to pose for the cameras, the groom-to-be playfully joked with the media to click good photos of his wife-to-be. Akash said, “Shloka ka photo ache se nikalna. Smile karte hue, vo nervous ho jaati hai.”
Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta were supposed to tie the knot in 2018 but the former happily shifted his wedding dates for his darling twin sister, Isha Ambani. In an interaction with Vogue, the newly-married Isha revealed the same, "Akash has the largest heart ever. He changed his wedding dates for me. He got engaged to Shloka before Anand and me, but he was like, “I’ll get married afterwards, you take my wedding dates.” He’s like one of the most—I don’t think there’s a word for it in English—“dayalu” humans in this world.
