Qarib Qarib Singlle actor Irrfan shared a post about his illness on Twitter saying that he is suffering from a rare disease. Irrfan Khan tweeted, "Sometimes you wake up with a jolt with life-shaking you up. The last fifteen days, my life has been a suspense story. Little had I known that my search for rare stories would make me find a rare disease. I have never given up and have always fought for my choices and always will. My family and friends are with me and we are working it out the best way possible. In trying times, please don't speculate as I will myself share with you my story within a week - ten days when the further investigations come with a conclusive diagnosis. Till then, wish the best for me! – Irrfan”
Even though he said that he will be sharing more update about his health as soon as his diagnosis gets conclusive, there are conjectures about his ‘rare disease’. His health condition has fired up many rumours, some speculations suggest that Irrfan is suffering from brain cancer. And amidst all such reports, Irrfan Khan’s wife, Sutapa Sikdar requests everyone to stop speculating about his disease and says that her husband is fighting his illness like a warrior. She writes, “My best friend and my partner is a ‘warrior’ he is fighting every obstacle with tremendous grace and beauty. I apologize for not answering calls msgs, but I want all of you to know I am truly humbled indebted forever for the wishes prayers and concern from all over the world. I am grateful to God and my partner for making me a warrior too. I am at present focused on the strategies of the battlefield which I have to conquer.”
She further stated, “It wasn’t and isn’t and is not going to be easy, but the hope ignited by the magnitude of family, friends and fans of Irrfan has made me only optimistic and almost sure of the victory. I know curiosity germinates from concern but let’s turn our curiosity from what it is to what it should be. Let’s change the leaf. Let’s not waste our precious energies to only know what it is and just pray to make it what it should be. My humble request to all of you is to concentrate on the song of life, to dance of life to victory. My family will soon join in this dance of life. Irrfan’s illness has left the entire industry in shock as everyone was expecting for his outstanding performances in his upcoming films. Irrfan’s friends from the industry have tweeted, requesting everyone to put on hold all the conjectures regarding his health. Irrfan’s Ghaath co-star, Manoj Bajpayee took to his Facebook account to wish Irrfan a speedy recovery. He wrote, “Request all to stop speculations about Irrfan's health and wait for the official confirmation from his side. It's quite insensitive to guess and spread the rumour about anyone's illness. Please delete all the post and pray for his health. He will fight it out and come out of it like a champion .praying for his speedy recovery. Film critic and writer, Raja Sen tweeted, “When Irrfan Khan has requested us not to speculate on his condition, why can’t we respect that? This is not a scoop, it’s a man’s life. Let us please leave the announcements to him. Get better soon, Irrfan. There is a lot more conquering to be done.” And this tweet was retweeted by Irrfan’s Thank You co-star, Sonam Kapoor and his The Lunchbox co-star Nimrat Kaur.
