After months of conjectures, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja have finally taken the wedding vows in Anand Karaj ceremony today. We brought to you the first look of the decorated wedding venue, the first look of groom Anand Ahuja and first look of bride Sonam Kapoor.
Sonam Kapoor is now Mrs Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and her first pictures with hubby, Anand is out, and we can’t keep adoring them. The happiness on Sonam and Anand’s face is just unmissable! The Anand Karaj took place at Sonam’s aunt Kavita Singh’s heritage bungalow called Rockdale which is situated in Bandra. Sonam and Anand’s marriage was a proper and complete Sikh wedding.
Sonam Kapoor’s sister, Rhea Kapoor shared her pic with the bride, and captioned it, “Forever and ever. Sister love is the truest love I know. Me and Sonam Kapoor-Ahuja.” In the pictures streaming online, the newly-weds Sonam and Anand couldn’t keep calm as it is their wedding day. The newbie bride, Sonam Kapoor is looking resplendent in Anuradha Vakil’s red wedding lehenga with intricate embroidery of lotus motifs (she had same motifs in her mehendi also). Her minimal make-up is done by Namrata Soni, and the overdose of jadau jewellery that Sonam is wearing with her bridal lehenga, especially her multi-layered maang teeka is definitely giving some major bridal goals. On the other hand, groom Anand Ahuja looked dapper in a beige and cream-coloured sherwani with a complementing coloured pagdi, which he teamed it up with an exquisite haar in the neck. Putting end to all the speculations, Kapoor and Ahuja families released a statement about Sonam and Anand’s wedding. It stated, "From the Kapoor & Ahuja families, The Kapoor & Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam & Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family's need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives. Thanks & Regards." Sonam and Anand shared a thank you card for all the guests who came all way long to be a part of their special day. The message on the card could be read as, "It's a great joy to love & be loved! Dear Family and Friends, we are delighted to have you here as an integral part of our wedding celebration. We are blessed to have each of you in our lives and feel honoured that you have travelled miles to be with us! We hope you your stay and make memories of a lifetime... Love & Luck, Ahuja & Kapoor Families."
