Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja will take their wedding vows in a few hours in the presence of their family and close friends. May 8, 2018, is the date when Anand and Sonam will be pronounced husband and wife, and they will seal the deal forever! The first look of the groom is revealed, and he is looking ecstatic and every bit of royal in his wedding look. The stage is also set and, in a while, Sonam and Anand will be here taking a pledge to be with each other in health, sickness until death does them part. Anand Ahuja donned beige and cream-coloured sherwani with a complementing coloured pagdi. He teamed it up with an exquisite haar in the neck. On the other hand, his soon-to-be wife, Sonam is looking like a dream in her red wedding lehenga with intricate embroidery of lotus motifs (she had same motifs in her mehendi also). Her chooda is very old-style and traditional, which gets a thumbs up from our side. We are loving the overdose of jadau jewellery that Sonam is wearing with her bridal lehenga, especially her multi-layered maang teeka. Her make-up is done by Namrata Soni and she has kept it minimal for the day look in shades of pink. She is glowing in red and we love her minimal hairdo, a simple bun with gajra. Her lehenga has been designed by Anuradha Vakil.
In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar Bride, Sonam stated the names of the designers she opted for her wedding, “I'm wearing the three 'A's for my wedding - Abu-Jani Sandeep Khosla, Anamika Khanna and Anuradha Vakil." Anand Ahuja and Sonam Kapoor hosted their mehendi night on May 7, 2018, and it was attended by who’s who of the B-town industry. Putting end to all the speculations, Kapoor and Ahuja families released a statement about Sonam and Anand’s wedding. It stated, "From the Kapoor & Ahuja families, The Kapoor & Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam & Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family's need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives. Thanks & Regards." We are blessed to have each of you in our lives and feel honoured that you have travelled miles to be with us! We hope you your stay and make memories of a lifetime...
