The big day is finally here and the fashionista of Bollywood, Sonam Kapoor will be getting married in a few hours from now. Sonam is going to tie the nuptial knot with her long-time boyfriend, Delhi-based businessman, Anand Ahuja. After months of speculation, Ahujas and Kapoors released a joint statement, announcing Sonam and Anand's wedding on May 8, 2018, and that day has finally arrived. Their fans and netizens are going crazy over the pictures and videos from the pre-wedding functions of #SonamKiShaadi.
Where we, fans are still in the hangover of last night's sangeet ceremony pictures and videos, Sonam's wedding day has arrived and here are the first few pictures of the venue where the two will get married. It is going to be a Sikh-style day wedding with Anand Karaj at Bandstand Bungalow in Mumbai's posh area. The outside of the wedding venue is all decked up in exquisite white flowers and it has a tight security. Yesterday, Kapoor's hosted a star-studded sangeet function where everyone came up dressed in white, the theme for the evening. Everyone was dancing and having a gala time at the function and it was here only that Sonam's chooda and kalira ceremony took place. Sonam and Anand met each other through their mutual friend, Pernua Qureshi, in a party in Delhi. The two became friends and soon started dating. After years of dating and keeping their relationship under the wraps, the couple us all set to become the man and wife. Their pre-wedding celebrations begin on May 6 with an intimate mehendi ceremony at Anil Kapoor's bungalow, where only the families of the couple and their close friends were invited. The next was Sonam and Anand's sangeet ceremony that took place on May 7 at her Aunt's heritage resort. After the grand wedding in the morning today, a star-studded reception will take place in the evening.
Sonam and Anand shared a thank you card for all the guests who came all way long to be a part of their special day. The message on the card could be read as, "It's a great joy to love & be loved! Dear Family and Friends, we are delighted to have you here as an integral part of our wedding celebration. We are blessed to have each of you in our lives and feel honoured that you have travelled miles to be with us! We hope you your stay and make memories of a lifetime... Love & Luck, Ahuja & Kapoor Families."
