BJP leader, Sonali Phogat has been leading the headlines ever since her sudden demise. Sonali had taken her last breath on August 23, 2022, and initially, reports claimed that she died due to a heart attack. However, her family was sure that Sonali was murdered and they demanded justice. Later, an autopsy was done, and it was found that Sonali had multiple injuries on her body. After which, a murder case was registered and her two associates, Sudhir Sagwan and Sukhwinder Singh were charged as accused.
Sonali Phogat is survived by her 15-year-old daughter, Yashodhara Phogat, who is left heartbroken after her mother's demise. Moreover, Sonali left behind assets worth more than Rs. 110 crores, leading to her teenage daughter, Yashodhara, being the sole inheritor of her property. However, Yashodhara is demanding that her mother's case should be handed over to the CBI as she is not satisfied with the current investigations by the Goa police.

Since Sonali Phogat's demise, her daughter, Yashodhara Phogat has maintained her stance that her mother's death was a well-planned murder. In an interview with ANI, Yashodhara said that her mother was supposed to stay in Goa for a week but the resort was booked for only two days. She added that the police is yet to find the motive behind her mother's murder and mentioned that there are many other questions which are yet to be answered. In her words:
“My mother told me that the shooting will take place in Goa for about a week. But it turns out that the resort was booked for only two days. This shows that it was a well-planned murder. Goa Police is coming to Haryana, we also got to know about it from the media. We were not informed by the Goa Police. The police are yet to ascertain the motive of the murder, which is raising questions on the investigation.”
For the unversed, Sonali Phogat’s husband, Sanjay Phogat had died under mysterious circumstances in 2016. And now, the actress has allegedly been murdered. According to multiple media reports, Sonali's 15-year-old daughter, Yashodhara Phogat has become the sole heir of her property worth Rs. 110 crores. However, considering how Sonali and her hubby, Sanjay died, the family members are now concerned about the potential danger to Yashodhara’s life. Thus, the family would ask the government to provide security for Yashodhara.

In an interview with ANI, Yashodhara’s uncle, Kuldeep Phogat has opened up about his concern for his niece and shared that her life could be in danger. Talking about the same, he shared that the family has decided that Yashodhara would no longer be sent to the hostel. He added that those who conspired against Sonali could also do the same to her daughter, Yashodhara, to grab her property. He was quoted as saying:
‘We will meet the SP and demand a gunman for Yashodhara’s security. The person who conspired to kill Sonali Phogat can also become a threat to Yashodhara. We fear that he may hatch another murder conspiracy to grab the property.”
