Popular politician and actress, Sonali Phogat was the National Vice President of BJP's Mahila Morcha and was one of the most active politicians on social media. Before making her way into politics, Sonali had worked as an actress and had made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. The actress was born on September 21, 1979, in Fatehabad, Haryana. Sonali belonged to a Jaat family, and was grew up in Hisar with her family. Right from her childhood, Sonali was motivated enough to do something big in her life, and with her immense hard work, she achieved what she had dreamt of.
For the unversed, Sonali Phogat had got married to a man named Sanjay Phogat, and together they had welcomed a daughter, whom they had lovingly named Yashodhara Phogat. However, after some years of their happy married life, in 2016, her husband, Sanjay was found dead in Hisar under mysterious circumstances.

On August 22, 2022, Sonali Phogat took to her Instagram handle and shared a series of pictures wearing a pink-coloured safa on her head. In the pictures, Sonali looked happy and healthy as she posed for the selfies with a bright smile. However, just after few hours, on August 23, 2022, Sonali passed away after she suffered a severe heart attack while she was in Goa. The popular actress and renowned politician's untimely demise has shocked everyone, and once again, it proven how unpredictable life is. There's no denying of the fact that it was Sonali Phogat's participation in the popular reality show, Bigg Boss 14 that had made her a household name across India. During the course of the show, the thing that caught everyone's attention was when she had confessed her love to co-contestant, Aly Goni. While some people appreciated her bold move, many trolled her for the massive age gap between her and Aly. However, after coming out of the show, in a conversation with ETimes, Sonali Phogat talked about the reaction of her family members and her daughter to her proposal to Aly inside the BB house.

The actress admitted that all her family members were quite supportive of her and were not upset. Sonali had explained that her family members are mature enough to understand her feelings and had also added that even her daughter had shown support to her. After the end of Bigg Boss 14, Sonali met Aly Goni and his girlfriend, Jasmin Bhasin, and shared pictures from the same that had spoken the beautiful bond all three of them share. Clearing all the reports and speculations suggesting that Sonali was trying to weaken Aly and Jasmin's relationship, Sonali had convinced everyone that she was quite happy for the adorable couple.
