We all have dreamt of buying an exactly similar pair when we grow up. Well, gone are the days when only kids used to fancy their parents' shoes, nowadays, parents also love stepping into their kids' shoes. Don't believe us? Well, meet Bollywood actress and super mommy, Sonali Bendre, who styled her son, Ranveer Behl's shoes and refuses to give it back. Before we take you further into the story, let us take a look at super mommy, Sonali and her son, Ranveer's relationship. The mother-son duo share a beautiful bond, in fact when Sonali was fighting with cancer, it was her son, Ranveer, who became the pillar of support for her. Sonali often shares snippets of her life with her son, Ranveer on her IG feed.
On August 7, 2020, Sonali literally stepped into her son, Ranveer's shoes. The actress took to her Instagram handle and posted two pictures from a shoot while wearing Ranveer's beige-coloured shoes. And looks like, she is in love with them and that's the reason why she refused to give it back. In the picture, Sonali looked gorgeous donning black leather pants with beige sweater and her son's sports shoes. Alongside it, she wrote, "Stepped into my son's shoes... literally! @rockbehl, I am gonna keep these." Check it out below:
in an interview with JioSaavn podcast, Raising Parents, Sonali had talked about her relationship with her son, Ranveer. She had shared, "I am not my child’s friend and don’t think I need to be. I am his parent and why can’t I be a friendly parent and have a great time together. There are certain things he will speak with his father, with his aunts, with his friends, with his grandparents, there needs to be an outlet for healthy relationships." Sonali had further added, "I tell my kid ‘you know technology more than I do, but however grown-up you might be, your brain is not fully formed and might not be able to process the emotional part of it’, and that’s where parents come in. In the same interview, Sonali had also shared that she never lies to her son, Ranveer. She had stated, "I have never lied to my kid, I might dress up the truth but have never lied. If I expect my child to be truthful, I need to be true to him. The only reason why you don’t want to be completely truthful is that when they are young they will analyse it and comprehend it in a manner and you don’t want it to be ‘so big’ that the child will be scarred. So to make it a bit lighter you give them a version of the truth." And that's the reason why she had told her son about her fight with cancer and he had maturely reacted to what might come.
