Bigg Boss 12 fame, Somi Khan grabbed a lot of attention after the news about her marriage to Adil Durrani surfaced on the internet. For the unversed, the latter was previously married to Bollywood actress, Rakhi Sawant. However, the duo walked separate ways after Rakhi publicly claimed that Adil physically abused her in their marriage. Moreover, she even claimed that Adil forcefully got her converted to Islam. Amid all the allegations and counter-allegations, it seems that the latter has indeed moved on in his life and started a new chapter with Somi Khan.
In an interaction with ETimes, Somi Khan opened up about her love story with Adil Durrani. The actress revealed that she crossed paths with her husband seven months back, at an award function. She further revealed that they knew each other for just seven months, post which they started to develop feelings for one another. Moreover, Somi also talked about her hushed-up marriage and claimed that it was, on the contrary, an intimate celebration for the two of them, along with their families. In her words:
“We got married on 3rd March. It is very sweet, we met during a shoot. We first met at an award show and it has been 7 months that we have known each other. We became friends initially and then had feelings for each other and now we decided to get married. There was no hush-hush wedding, we wanted to get married but we wanted to keep it private. We didn’t want any negativity, controversy or publicity stunt. We wanted to keep it intimate with our families only.”

Moving further in the conversation, Somi Khan divulged a few beans about her intimate wedding. The newlywed bride remarked that her nuptials with Adil took place by following rituals both from Jaipur and Southern India. She referred to it all as a beautiful cross-cultural amalgamation and said:
“I am from Jaipur and Adil is from the south so it was great that we got to know each other. There were many rituals from both sides for pre-wedding and post-wedding from Adil’s family. There were some lovely rituals for my welcome at my in-laws’ place. We had our reception in Bengaluru with Adil’s family.”
In the concluding segment of the interaction, Somi Khan addressed the elephant in the room and talked about her hubby, Adil’s past with Rakhi Sawant. The doting wifey remarked that her hubby had gone through a rough patch in the past, but now they do not want to look back at what happened. Adding how she never wanted to learn anything about Adil’s past, Somi said:
“I know Adil has gone through so much, but now that we are embarking on a new journey, I don’t want to look back. That is why it’s called past and its over. I have never wanted to see those interviews and videos. All I am looking for is my future with Adil and not his past.”

Previously, in a startling revelation to News18 Showsha, Adil Durrani admitted getting married to Somi Khan, amid reports about the same having surfaced. Moreover, he steadfastly claimed that this was his first wedding ever, thereby completely denying his past marriage with Rakhi Sawant.
