TV actress, Smriti Khanna, who had married her Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi co-star, Gautam Gupta in 2017, had embarked the journey of parenthood on April 15, 2020, with the arrival of their little girl named, Anayka Gupta. Since her birth, the new parents' Instagram feeds are filled with adorable pictures of their little angel. The parents are making every festival of their little angel special. A few days back, Anayka had celebrated her first Rakhi with her brother, Reyansh, and a glimpse of the same was posted on Anayka’s official Insta handle.
Now, as the nation is drenched in the festivity of Ganesh Chaturthi, Smriti Khanna took to her IG handle to share pictures of her little Gannu, Anayka. In the pictures, we can see mommy, Smriti twin with her daughter, Ananyka in a red and white suit. Sharing the pictures, Smriti called her daughter, ‘my little Gannu’. This is not the first time that the mommy and daughter have twinned their outfits. On June 3, 2020, Smriti had taken to her Instagram handle and had posted a picture with her baby doll, Anayka. In the picture, we could see the mother-daughter duo twinning in black dress and matching red tic-tac hairclips. Alongside it, Smriti had written, "Twinning with my baby doll. Smriti had shared a cute video of her daughter on the official IG handle of Anayka. The video had featured baby Anayka donning different colours, each weekday and playfully rolling on the bed. When Smriti Khanna's little bundle of joy had turned two-months-old, the family had held the very first puja ceremony for their baby doll, Anayka. In a conversation with Bollywoodshaadis.com, Smriti had explained the importance of puja and said, "This pooja is performed on the 40th day. It is believed that the mother's body takes 40 days to recover after delivery, and the baby's immunity also builds in 40 days." Smriti had further added, "After this puja the mother and baby can officially out of the house, not that we would."
