For those who don't know, Shilpa and Raj tied the knot on November 22, 2009, in a lavish wedding ceremony. Without any doubt, their wedding was nothing less than a fairy tale. And, oh boy, Shilpa looked like a true Indian beauty in her traditional bridal outfit. Fast forward to the present day, Shilpa and Raj are living a blissful life with their two little munchkins, Viaan and Samisha.
On September 11, 2023, the celebrity mehendi artist, Veena Nagda took to her Instagram handle and dropped some throwback pictures from Shilpa Shetty's mehendi ceremony. In the pictures, the then-to-be bride looked super happy and excited as she got her mehendi done. Sharing the picture, Veena shared an unknown anecdote from Shilpa's mehendi and revealed that the actress wanted a symbol of Goddess Lakshmi in her mehendi design. Adding that Shilpa chose a lotus design for her wedding mehendi, Veena penned:
"While applying mehendi at Shilpa's wedding, Shilpa said, " I want the symbol of Lakshmi" and she chose a lotus design from then I started the wonderful design of Lotus. Thank you shilpa ji for trusting me."

In one of the pictures, Shilpa can be seen posing happily with her mehendi artist, while in the next, she can be seen flaunting her henna-adorned hand. The following picture featured Shilpa's mother, Sunanda Shetty and her sister, Shamita Shetty. They can be seen posing in front of a beautifully decorated background that featured flowers and stunning architectural work.
However, it was a beautiful and candid moment of Shilpa with her then-to-be-husband, Raj that caught our attention. In the picture, the mehendi artist, Veena can be seen applying henna to Raj's hand and the smile on his face is simply unmissable. For his special day, Raj donned an orange-hued kurta featuring golden zari work and teamed it with jeans. On the other hand, Shilpa looked pretty in a pink-coloured outfit that featured floral embroidery and embellishment work on the neckline. She accentuated her look with a pair of diamond and emerald earrings, a bindi, dewy makeup and open tresses.
The last picture featured a collage of two beautiful photos of Shilpa and Raj. The left side featured a candid moment of Shilpa from her wedding day. And without any doubt, the diva looked breathtaking in the traditional red saree, which she styled with statement jewellery. The right side of the frame featured a beautiful moment of Raj and Shilpa from their reception party. In the picture, Shilpa can be seen adoring Raj and it melted our hearts.

On September 9, 2023, Shilpa's husband, Raj turned a year older and to mark the day, the doting wife penned a heartfelt note for him. Taking to her Ig handle, the actress dropped a beautiful video with her husband, wherein, the lovebirds could be taking a romantic walk amid a scenic environment. Moreover, the duo looked stunning in their respective outfits. Along with the video, Shilpa penned a beautiful caption and called her husband a 'beautiful soul'. Her note could be read as:
"Gifting you a mirror on this birthday, so you can see what I see... someone funny, kind, considerate and loving! A beautiful soul that's perfect for me Happpppyyyyyy birthdaaaayyyy, my Cookie! Stay protected, happy and blessed."
