Their love story is nothing less than an Ekta Kapoor serial. When they first met, their first impression of each other were bad. Then their egos clashed which kept them apart only to make them realise their love and importance for each other. We are talking about the Tere Liye fame cutesy couple, Shakti Arora and Neha Saxena.
The rumours of this couple’s break up have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. After having a roka ceremony four years ago, the couple had their own share of ups and downs. Clearing all such baseless reports of their break up, Shakti was quoted as saying in a Bombay Times interview, “All is well with us. I have become thick-skinned, and rumours about my split, marriage and kids don’t affect me anymore. He further added, “I won’t let my personal life overshadow my work; that’s the reason I am averse to reality shows as well — they put your personal life on display. If at all I take up a reality show, it will be to showcase my talent.” Talking about his marriage plans with Neha, Shakti said, “I feel that I am not yet ready for marriage. Neha and I want to focus on our careers. We had a roka four years ago, toh koi kahiin bhaaga nahi jaa raha hai. We will take the plunge when the time is right.”
Also, Neha came out in open and slammed all the rumours of her break up with Shakti and even the conjectures about the couple already being married. She said, “I don’t know how the rumour started... the world can say whatever we are together and happy. Spilling the beans about her marriage with Shakti, Neha retorted, “We have already taken a step ahead. Now our families are involved, we will get married soon enough now.” She excitedly shared what type of wedding she wants, and said, “I want my marriage to be larger than life, I love wearing Indian dresses and I’m excited to put together my trousseau. My wedding will be lavish, extravagant and completely filmy. There will be a lot of functions. I want to celebrate and enjoy it to the hilt. We will have a lot of functions, spread across several days, you know, like a big fat filmi wedding.”
Just like any other bride-to-be, Neha said, “In fact, I have already started saving, because once I start my wedding shopping, there will be no stopping me (laughs).” But does her fiancé too believe in the big fat grand wedding? She revealed, “No he thinks a little differently. He feels it is not wise to waste money on an extravagant wedding and I have to admit, deep down, I know he’s right. So he might convince me for a Court marriage, followed by a reception for friends and family. But let's see what time and situation permit us.”
