Tere Liye fame couple, Shakti Arora and Neha Saxena walked down the aisle recently on April 06, 2018 in a hush-hush ceremony. Shakti and Neha met on sets of Tere Liye itself and eventually, cupid struck them. The couple has been going strong for a long-time, and in fact, had their roka ceremony on June 06, 2014, in the Goregaon Sports Complex, Mumbai. Finally, after 4 years of wait, Shakti and Neha sealed the bond by tying the nuptial knot. In these four years, there were various rumours doing rounds that the couple were already married, and that they had a split for a while in 2017. Putting a stop to all such conjectures, they were finally pronounced husband and wife. And guess what! The couple enjoyed enormously in their honeymoon in Norway. Earlier, announcing their wedding, both Neha and Shakti took to their Instagram handles and shared a couple picture of their wedding avatars. While Neha wrote, “A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality”, Shakti penned down, “Together is a wonderful place to be.” And this is their picture from the wedding:
Speaking to the Times of India about her wedding, Neha had earlier revealed, “We had the haldi ceremony in the morning and pheras in the evening. It was a private affair with only our immediate families in attendance. Both of us have been relatively free over the past few months and so, decided to take the plunge. On being asked about his life after marriage, Shakti replied, “The feeling is yet to sink in and I don’t feel like a married man yet. Abhi tak kuch samajh nahi aa raha, but it’s a nice feeling.”
Before their wedding, there were rumours, as pointed earlier, that Neha and Shakti have parted ways. Speaking to Bombay Times regarding the same, Shakti had opened up and said, “All is well with us. I have become thick-skinned, and rumours about my split, marriage and kids don’t affect me anymore. It’s part and parcel of this profession. I won’t let my personal life overshadow my work; that’s the reason I am averse to reality shows as well — they put your personal life on display. If at all I take up a reality show, it will be to showcase my talent.”
Revealing his feelings about Neha, Shakti once said, “I am in love with Neha. I love spending time with her. Her sense of humour is what I like the most about her and, of course, her cuteness!”
