A girl shares a unique bond with her father that can never be described in mere words. There is a reason why a girl is always called 'papa ki pari', simply because daddies love to spoil their angels. While they make their sons fighters, they turn their daughters into princesses with their love. And the millennial 'papa bears' have taken the responsibility of nurturing their little girls a step up. They are not only happily taking up the diaper duties but also go shopping for their munchkins. And a perfect example of this is Bollywood actor, Shahid Kapoor's relationship with his daughter, Misha Kapoor. Shahid has proved that he is a hands-on daddy. From sharing 'pout picture with Misha' to 'cuddling in public', 'daddy cool' of the Tinseltown is setting a trend for all the fathers out there. But he wasn't like this always, there are many interviews, wherein Shahid Kapoor had talked about the loneliness he had felt before getting married to his life and wife, Mira Rajput Kapoor. He had once shared that he had felt the void as he couldn't share his achievements with someone immediately as his parents, Neelima Azeem and Pankaj Kapoor had gotten divorced.
However, with the arrival of Misha in Shahid and Mira's world, his life changed for better. Now, he understands his parents' struggle better and values them. Recently, Shahid made an appearance on Neha Dhupia's show, No Filter Neha, and shared a funny incident where he literally had an identity crisis because his daughter, Misha had failed to recognise him as he had shaved off his beard. Uh-oh, we know men look different with a beard and without a beard, but this was definitely the funniest incident. On the show, No Filter Neha, Shahid was quoted as saying, "I had an identity crisis because she didn’t recognize me! It was at Mira’s parents’ house, I reached there probably a day or two after they had reached because I was just finishing some stuff up, and she just refused to recognize me. She was what, 1.5 at that time and I was dying to hold her and meet her and run around with her and talk to her and she was with the maid taking a walk in the garden, and Mira had gone to meet some relatives, and I reached early and I wanted to take her in my arms and she came to me and started crying."
Shahid further revealed that while he was talking to Misha, she kept staring at his mouth and was wondering that she knows the vioce but cannot recognise the voice as he had shaved off his beard. And it alone made a huge difference.
Shahid had welcomed his angel, Misha on August 26, 2016, and later, on September 5, 2018, he was blessed with a baby boy, whom he lovingly named, Zain. In one of his interviews with the Filmfare magazine, the actor had shared that he was self-oriented before embracing fatherhood. But things changed once he became a parent and valued his own parents' sacrifices more. He had even gone on record and apologised to his parents for being a difficult kid.
In a throwback interview with Simi Grewal's show, Simi Selects India’s Most Desirable, Shahid had talked about his parents' divorce. He had shared, "Life threw a lot at me very early in life. My parents got separated. I came to a new city. I had to learn to accept and make the most of it and that's probably what's made me the person I am today. I don't expect anything good or bad from life."
Coming back to Shahid's bond with his little girl, Misha, in another interview with the Filmfare magazine, he had shared that he prays every day for his daughter's well-being. He had also stated that holding a baby girl in his arms changed his perspective towards everything. He had said, "I didn't want anything to go wrong with her ever. I guess, being a man I always thought of as a man. But holding a baby girl gave me a new perspective. It changes everything."
