In the early 2000s, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were the famous couple, who were the 'hero and heroine' of every film. They were so much-in-love that the nation was left shocked when Kareena Kapoor parted ways from Shahid Kapoor in 2007, and started dating Saif Ali Khan. In the midst of their dating phase, a shocking incident happened in 2004 when Shahid and Kareena's intimate moment had gone viral.
Earlier, in April 2023, Shahid Kapoor revealed in a media interaction that his life was destroyed when his personal photos with his then-girlfriend, Kareena Kapoor made it to the newspapers and television. While he bared his heart out, not many know that three young kids were involved in the leaking of the video. As reported by The Free Press Journal, three young kids had visited the office with the video of Shahid and Bebo kissing in the club and handed it over for just Rs. 500.

When Shahid and Kareena parted ways, reports were rife that they were rife that it was because of the latter's love affair with Saif. According to a report in DNA, one of Shahid's close friend claimed that it all happened due to Kareena. It all happened when Kareena told the media that she was happy for her ex getting married and would attend his wedding. Taking a dig at Kareena's statement, Shahid's friend said:
"We were really surprised to read one of his very prominent former girlfriends talking about being invited to his wedding. Has she forgotten how she behaved with him?"
The friend also revealed that she went on an outdoor shooting with one of her co-stars and started a secret fling. He added that she came back to Mumbai to Shahid as if everything was normal. Shahid got to know about the ‘secret fling’ and refused to take her back.
