Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra's love affair made many headlines over the last decade. The duo last worked together for the sequel of the film, Don in 2011. During that time, rumours were rife that the co-stars were dating each other secretly. Moreover, Shah Rukh and Priyanka were also often spotted on late-night outings and public events together. But SRK, who was married to Gauri Khan, denied the link-up rumours and tagged his closeness to Priyanka as a good friendship.
Back in 2013, Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra hosted the Filmfare Awards and indirectly addressed their dating rumours which were spreading like wildfire. Recently, a video from the event was shared on Reddit, wherein the duo was seen standing on the stage and conversing. SRK asked Priyanka about what's new in Tinseltown, and the latter replied:
"Abhi tak to kuchh nahi par kal subah tak jaroor hoga."

Priyanka's response left Shah Rukh confused, and he asked her what was going to happen the next day. He was heard saying, "Kyu kal kya hone wala hai?" Responding to this, PeeCee shared that people would start talking about her and SRK. She further mentioned how people wrote nonsense whenever she and Shah Rukh met and exaggerated the facts. She said:
"Kal kahi na kahi kuchh na kuchh gossip humare bare mein to aa hi jayega. Kyunki aaj kal hum jab bhi milte hain, kuchh na kuchh nonsense likhte hi hain log. Mai Bandra se guzar bhi rahi hoti hu to log likh dete hain hum log chhup chhup kar mile."
The camera then panned at the audience, who were not prepared for it. PeeCee and SRK's dating rumours were one of the hot topics back then, and it was surprising to see that the duo was openly addressing it in public. Later, Shah Rukh mentioned that he too had noticed that people have been gossiping about him and Priyanka and shared that he believes that there is a lot of commonality between the duo, which makes the people think that. He said:
"Hmmm maine bhi notice kiya hai. Mai soch raha tha ki iska ek reason hai. Mujhe wo reason ye lagta hai ki hum dono ke beech me bahut saari cheezein common hai, isliye log confuse ho jate hain."

As the video resurfaced on social media, netizens expressed their feelings about the same. While some people lauded SRK for being witty, others slammed him for cheating on his wife, Gauri Khan. Meanwhile, a section of netizens also shamed Shah Rukh and Priyanka, stating that the duo didn't even shy to talk about their alleged love affair, while Gauri was sitting in the audience with her daughter, Suhana Khan.
