But what we couldn’t forget from the film is the scene when Ranbir a.k.a. Sanju reveals how many girlfriends he has had before marrying his third wife, Maanayata Dutt. Ranbir’s ‘308 tak yaad hai. Chalo safe side 350 likhlo’ dialogue not only gave us a shock, but it also became a favourite relatable meme line.
Now, with the period drama, Panipat, Sanjay Dutt is all set to make a comeback to the silver screen and to promote the same, the team of the film made an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show. According to a report in the Mumbai Mirror, the host of the show, Kapil Sharma enquired Sanjay about his ‘308 girlfriends’, as documented in his biopic, Sanju. During his affair with Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt was arrested under Terrorist And Disruptive Activities (TADA) act in 1993 and just how their link-up was the talk of the town in the 90s, his illegal involvement brought an end to their relationship. In 1988, Sanjay married a socialite and model, Rhea Pillai but this too didn’t last for long and after living separately for a few years, they were granted the divorce in 2005. The girl behind the end of his second marriage was Nadia Durrani. But a few months down the line, Nadia too left Sanjay just as mysteriously as she had entered his life.
Going through a tough phase, Sanjay Dutt then found solace in Lisa Ray and they were allegedly together for a brief period. Then some reports had it that Sanjay fled with Rekha and had gotten married secretly. However, Yasser Usman, the author of the actress’ biography, Rekha – The Untold Story, had denied such happening. Finally, after ‘rounded off 350 affairs’, Sanjay finally found his ‘happily ever after’ with Maanayata Dutt, whom he had married on February 7, 2008.
It was in a throwback interview with the India Today when Sanjay Dutt was asked if he had ever double-dated. To which, Sanjay had instantly replied that he had even triple dated!
