It was in 2018 when Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer and had headed to the US for his treatment. And two years later, on April 30, 2020, Rishi ji lost his battle to cancer as it had relapsed. The news left the family, friends and the entire nation in disbelief. The glamour industry is closely connected and tightly linked that for every celebrity it felt like losing a family member. From Amitabh Bachchan to Rakesh Roshan, everybody was in dismay at first and took their time to sink in the truth bomb that had been thrown on them. Amongst all the stars, Sanjay Dutt is also taking his time to accept the ultimate truth.
On May 4, 2020, Sanjay Dutt took to his Instagram handle and shared a picture with late actor Rishi Kapoor, and his son, Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir had portrayed the character of Sanjay Dutt in the latter’s biopic, Sanju in 2018, and it seems that Ranbir has fallen into a similar pattern of life like Sanjay Dutt himself. Sharing the picture, Sanjay Dutt talked about how he is finding hard to bear Rishi ji’s death as he was like an elder brother to him. He wrote, “One thing that Chintu Sir taught me was to always do things with a smile on our face! It's going to take some time to sink in that Chintu Sir is not with us anymore. He has always been an elder brother to me. Can't believe he is gone!” Take a look at the picture below.
Seeing Sanjay Dutt’s post, his daughter, Trishala Dutt and wife, Maanayata Dutt came forward to lend their love and support, and consoled the Munna Bhai MBBS actor. His daughter, Trishala Dutt commented on the post saying, "He will be deeply missed dad, I love you" followed by kiss emoticons. However, his wife, Maanayata Dutt posted three red hearts to show her love and support for her husband.
On April 30, 2020, soon after the news of Rishi sir’s demise broke, Sanjay Dutt had taken to his Instagram handle to express his grief about losing his ‘elder brother’. He penned down an emotional note for Rishi ji, captioning it as “I will miss you Chintu sir.” His note could be read as "Dear Chintu sir, You have been an inspiration to me throughout my life and career. You have taught me to live life to the fullest and to face life even when I was going through my low days. I had the honour to work with you in many films where you always guided me. You fight against cancer has been long. But you never made me feel once that you were suffering even when I spoke to you in New York... even at that time you were so full of life." Recalling his last meeting with Rishi ji, he had written, “The last time I met you at home a few months back for dinner, you were still so concerned about me. You have always cared for me. Today is the saddest day for me because I have lost a family member, a friend, a brother and a person who showed me to live life with a smile no matter what. I will miss you Chintu sir. May God bless you and may you always be happy in heaven. I love you Chintu sir. Always will.” (Don't Miss: Shoaib Ibrahim And Dipika Kakar's Look Of Love Is All About Allah's Mercy And We Are All Hearts)
Some losses are too personal to deal with. We hope for the bright happy days!
